Vote No On 2 because all the children of the Commonwealth are worth fighting for. Not just those already privileged enough to attend private schools. You can’t underfund schools and complain about their performance. #VoteNoOn2#ProtectOurSchoolsKY
“Catholic bishops and priests even weighed in, encouraging their congregations to vote yes on the amendment, which would have likely funneled more money to Catholic schools.”

If Rand Paul is involved ask yourself where’s his motivation? For Rand Paul it’s always about how he and his cronies can make a buck. Ask him about Remdesivir. When Russian Rand gets involved it’s always about the money.

1/2 Sent a message to everyone in my phone contacts who lives in Kentucky urging them to vote no on amendment 2. I included a video for those who didn’t understand it and included how it would personally affect my family and my students.
Arizona has a lesson for KY: School vouchers mainly benefit wealthy families who already send kids to private schools.
In one high-income ZIP code: 28 vouchers per 100 kids. In one lower-income ZIP code: just 1 per 100 kids.

Do you have kids who attend a public school? Are you a teacher, student, or former student of a public school? Amendment 2 will decrease funding to public school across the state, negatively impacting our region most of all. The Amendment would allow the state to take money from public schools to give to private schools. Think of the things that would be cut if funding decreased - specials classes, like computers and art, field trips, extracurricular activities, classroom supplies, or even entire teacher positions. Private schools also do not have to accept students with special needs. This isn’t a “choice,” it is a scam. This is not a risk we can take. My opponent said he supported House Bill 2, which became Amendment 2, on the House floor. Here is the video directly from the KET livestream. Election Day is one week from today. Vote NO on Amendment 2, and vote for me, a State Representative who will protect our kids’ schools.
In one week Kentucky voters will deliver a verdict on Amendment 2, which if passed would allow public dollars to be diverted to private schools. Here’s what you need to know: 👇1/
Amendment 2 is simple math: it subtracts taxpayer money from public schools and gives it to unaccountable private schools—meaning our public schools end up with less. Watch our new TV ad and join me in voting NO on Amendment 2.
“When the @UAW went on strike to demand the higher wages you deserve, Donald Trump went to a non-union shop and attacked the UAW. He said striking and collective bargaining, don't make, and I'm gonna quote, 'a damn bit of difference.'" —@KamalaHarris in a MI union hall
Pastors, preachers, and priests that tell their congregations to vote for amendment 2 should also lose their tax exempt status. Don’t meddle in politics if you don’t pay taxes.
Vote no on Kentucky amendment 2.

@courierjournal It is unfair. One side can beg for money that's not theirs, and the side with the money can't argue against someone stealing from them.
"public schools who are set to lose resources aren’t allowed to advocate against the proposal."
