I'm glad I admitted my concerns about polypharmacy but it upset one reader who interpreted it as my confessing to killing people! Not what I meant, of course. I should have said INAPPROPRIATE polypharmacy kills. The data on unnecessary complications is what's scary, not me!

#polypharmacy kills, especially in the elderly.
It worries me.
I'm hurting people.
I want to deprescribe but it doesn't seem to ever get to the top of the horrendous to-do list.
The SMR DES doesn't magic up time, staff, headspace etc.
Anyone got any solutions to share?

@christheowl Do washable straws exist? Ive been on the look out for a metal straw which I can dishwash with my cutlery. Maybe cafés and restaurants eventually could have them with the knives and forks to subtly use if you want or need to
