@HawkGuyEnjoyer The irony. An audit is not designed to find fraud. Only a forensic audit can do that. Yes, fraud can be found with an audit. However, I wonder if he’s trying to claim the $38M that was misspent by the Iowa City Community School District? You know, the one that was 3 yrs behind.
@waltermasterson You better look at his funding. No where has a Koch brother or family or any of their organizations funded Zach Lahn. The Kansas myth has been debunked. Find another argument.
.@ZachLahn: "No one has been held accountable [for COVID]. People were injured, people died, and the government was taken over by radicals pushing their own beliefs on us... With me as Governor, we are going to bring justice to the people of Iowa and join with these other states to bring justice to Anthony Fauci."
DES MOINES, Iowa – Rob Sand’s newest campaign ad, “Genuine,” tries to sell Iowans on a guy named Mace Hensen, who talks about working a Republican county fair booth, and claims he still believes in what the party used to stand for.
The advertisement called him a “lifelong Republican,” who’s now backing Rob Sand because the Democrat is supposedly “genuine as the day is long” and will “rally the entire state.”

It was a pretty polished pitch. The problem is the paper trail. It was recently uncovered that in 2020, Mace Hensen was helping coordinate yard signs and volunteer efforts for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrat Theresa Greenfield.
Does that sound like a lifelong Republican to you? That’s a Democrat organizer who got a new label for an ad.

Sand keeps leaning on these carefully staged endorsements because the truth of his record and his party doesn’t poll as well. When the “lifelong Republican” in your own commercial was handing out Biden signs six years ago, the whole crossover appeal starts looking like theater.
Iowans can watch the ad for themselves, but they should also see the 2020 posts that undercut it. Sand’s campaign is running on image, not truth.

@HawkGuyEnjoyer We already spend 43% of the state budget, and where I live 1 school gets 53% and 1 gets 47% of my property taxes. When is enough enough? Fewer students but schools need more money? For what????
@SamNewton So, for me, I graduated from high school in Iowa moved away and then came back? You’re telling me I’m a Californian and not an Iowan. This talking point is getting old and offending those of us who chose to move back. Find something else.
@HawkGuyEnjoyer I started my paper route at age 10 and haven’t quit working. I then went onto a grocery store when I was 16. Degassing corn is a right of passage! It’s truly a learning experience.
@rocketsurgery69@ZachLahn@SecRollins@RobSandIA Well, did you make the same comments when Tom Vilsack signed the law providing for taxpayer funding for technology and textbooks at private schools?
@gipple_taylor@ZachLahn@SecRollins@RobSandIA What exactly is a lie? I’ve lived here most of my life, graduated school, moved away, moved back and have been farming since I came back. You must be talking about Rob Sand. Did you mean to post this on Rob’s X account?
@jdunwell I read the law after it was passed. I’ve been screaming from the mountain tops every time I see someone post that the auditor’s powers were taken away.
@emmaobrien1496@ZachLahn@RobSandIA How about Rob spend some time doing the work he was elected to do instead of on the campaign trail during the day when most people work!
@DJCatnip1107@ZachLahn@RobSandIA You’re missing the point. Law requires audits to be provided to Sand’s office within 9 months of the end of fiscal year. Why wasn’t he asking for late reports?????
@cythagoras @ZachLahn@RobSandIA It is legal for Sand to ask for the audit. Law requires school districts to provide audit reports within 9 months of end of fiscal year. Why wasn’t he asking for late reports?
@nighthunter1963@NoDMsPerfavore And where is the proof? In the Epstein files? You need to prove your “facts.” It’s not in the files. Epstein hated Trump.
@RobSandIA It’s why we need more private schools in Iowa. @RobSandIA how about making sure public schools are spending money correctly. Can you explain the Iowa City School District? You aren’t even auditing public schools. Stay out of private schools.
