It's been brilliant seeing Mars and a waning Moon this month...but now I'm after the Andromeda galaxy. Have you seen it yet? Going to need my stabilised binos for this one. #Astrophotography

Students want to be seen. They want to be heard. They want to matter.
Teachers do more than just teach academic standards; they bring hope. They’re not just preparing students for the next grade level; they’re preparing them for life.
When people are excited about their work, people usually notice. It matters.
For example, most students notice when their teachers are passionate about teaching. And it usually affects their attitude towards their learning.
COVID changes some things... but not everything.
This is so important for children to understand! Cyber bullying is very relevant in today’s society and knowing that someone is there to help you in these situations is important! #comm140bris#acuedu_p
Teaching in the virtual setting looks a bit different. But the art is the same:
Identify where kids are, where they need to go, and how to get them there... and look for opportunities to form personal connections because that motivates students & maximizes instructional impact.
"I teach for the little Black girls who have their voices misread as attitude and not confidence and passion." In our new magazine issue, @MrsWrightin5th reflects on her history as a student—and her "why."

Some students aren’t putting forth much effort; I’m grateful that teachers aren’t giving up on them.
Some parents keep pushing back; I’m grateful that teachers are demonstrating poise and patience.
This year is really hard; I’m grateful that teachers are persevering.
To celebrate #IWDeaf2020, students are signing ‘Auslan is for everyone!’ to raise important awareness. Did you know Regional Auslan Coaches are available to support students using #Auslan to access the curriculum? https://t.co/CKBGQcuvYz #SignLanguagesForEveryone
