I’m not ready to admit I was wrong about the DJ Moore trade (it’s been just 5 days of training camp)
BUT I am getting ready to eat my words based upon how camp has started. Moore has been the Bills’ best WR by far
Moore might be just what Josh Allen needs: an off-script God
NY Giants Skinny
So here is the skinny. Let’s start with the QB, Jaxson dart is being coached up to protect himself from unnecessary hits watching tape and being taught to get out of bounds rather than get that extra yard. Its important that they don’t take away his instincts to run but want him playing more like Mahomes, doing just enough and then playing it safe, rather than what the considered reckless play that got him those concussions from last year.
On skattebo they believe he is their workhorse and will not do what they are trying to do with dart but unleash the beast. He will serve as a primary runner but with his style of play they know that an injury lurks. But their concern is abated by the fact they think very highly of Tyrone Tracy should anything serious befall Cam. Probably one of the better handcuffs in the RB space.
Isiah Likely remains the sleeper on the field. This time he will get way more opportunities than in Baltimore and is considered a WR rather than a TE. The plus sides are everywhere Harbaugh really views him as a WR rather than a TE and look for him to play out wide like a Kelce all year which could lead to more redone mismatches and opportunities. The Giants don’t really have a WR2 but like 10 wr4 with slayton mooney etc. for Te premium leagues he could a top5 te with the Harbaugh love.
Now for Nabers where everyone is drooling to get more info on the injury. This is what I was told. The ACL has progressed nicely, it is the meniscus part that is proving the most vexing and why the 2nd procedure had to be done in which he called it a “cleanup” of loose material still floating? In the meniscus tear. Not sure what that means. But he is on his way to start week 1. The reason they signed another 10 wrs was to prepared if he was going to miss multiple weeks but that is NOT the case. Of course the will ease him in but says Nabers is a machine in physical therapy and if possible could even be stronger coming out of these surgeries. I now that sounds crazy but simply repeating what I was told. As Nabers go so do the Giants.
