Zohran Mamdani just endorsed Aber Kawas - a woman who described a convicted Al Qaeda financier as an “imprisoned hero” and an Algerian man convicted of plotting to bomb New York City synagogues as her “brother.’’

Back in January I found Aber Kawas’s old Tumblr account.

I found these posts defending convicted Al Qaeda financier Fahad Hashmi and synagogue bomb plotter Ahmad Farhani.

Hashmi pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to provide material support to al-Qaeda in Federal District Court in Manhattan.

He was asked by Judge Loretta A. Preska whether he was pleading "because you are in fact guilty" to which Hashmi replied, "Alhamdulillah, yes.’’

Kawas described Hashmi as an “imprisoned hero.”

She wrote of Hashmi and the Holy Land 5: “Each day they are locked up is a day that our hearts cannot be at ease. We cannot rest until each and everyone is free. Their lives are a source of inspiration to us for they are living martyrs, teaching us lessons in patience, sacrifice, and integrity.’’

Ahmad Farhani meanwhile was sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to plotting to blow up a synagogue in Manhattan.

He told the court: “I intended to create chaos and send a message of intimidation and coercion to the Jewish population of New York City, warning them to stop mistreating Muslims.”

Kawas wrote of Farhani as a “brother … whose family I know.’’

She wrote: “He saw nowhere out but death. This is the state our people are in.”

I doubt you’ll ever see this – but some things need to be said.

At a recent concert of yours, you asked two fans who had been brought on stage where they were from. When they responded with “Israel,” they were met with boos from the crowd. Instead of supporting them and treating them like you would any other fans – with dignity, respect, and kindness – you made them feel conditionally tolerated, dehumanized, and guilty of being Jewish.

For centuries, Jews inside and outside Israel have been treated and made to feel impure, less than, and devalued. During the Holocaust, the Nazis referred to us as rats. Our slaughterers – from Castile, to Hebron, Baghdad, Kielce and Be'eri – viewed us as sub-human to justify the killing. So, when you sit there and say “We are treating you as equal humans on earth, regardless of where you come from,” you aren’t, in fact, doing something righteous – you’re looking at those girls in the face and saying “We know you aren’t equal, nor human, but tonight, we can pretend you are.”

To make matters worse, you then did something so many like you have been taught to do for decades. You had to bring up Palestine. In your mind, Jewish existence is premised on Palestinian dispossession, deprivation, and despair. To acknowledge Jewish life without also acknowledging Palestinian life would be sacrilege to someone like you. It’s why when Jews are attacked – so many have the kneejerk reaction to bring up “Islamophobia.” Even Jewish trauma must be equitable.

What should have been a night of celebration, awe, and excitement was likely turned into an evening of humiliation, confusion, and sadness because you lack even the most basic understanding of the things you preach.

The next time you come across Jews or Israelis – please – for the love of God – do better.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders - MSF) an accomplice of Hamas?
We are publishing a 47-page report, based on the organisation's X's (tweets) and on an analysis of a hundred or so Facebook accounts of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) staff in Gaza.
It shows that a significant proportion of MSF staff in Gaza share Hamas's fighting and supported the attacks of 7 October.
MSF repeated the fake news of an "Israeli attack" on the Ahli Arab Hospital. An MSF doctor, frequently quoted by the world press, claimed that "the number of dead exceeds 500 and will increase" (the death toll is actually between 10 and 50). MSF has never acknowledged its responsibility for disseminating this fake news.
In its X's (tweets) MSF has never denounced the crimes committed by Hamas on 7 October, the taking of civilians hostage, the use of hospitals as barracks or human shields.
MSF, which has been present in large numbers at the Al Shifa hospital for a long time, provides precise information in its tweets on the situation at the hospital. Hostages were taken and weapons found there. MSF insists on the notion of "sanctuary" for medical facilities. Is it possible that MSF and its employees knew nothing and saw nothing of the violations of humanitarian lawn the hospital by Hamas?
While MSF spares Hamas, the organisation accuses Israel of all the crimes, using terms such as "massacres", "annihilation" and "accepted and organised sacrifice".
The vice-president of MSF (Ghassan Abou Chaar) made a very ambiguous tweet on 7 October which could be interpreted as a justification of the Hamas attack.
MSF's Charter proclaims the organisation's neutrality, impartiality and independence. In its communication, MSF has failed in its humanitarian role and in its own charter. As hostages have passed through the Al Shifa hospital, the question arises of possible complicity of MSF staff with the perpetrators of acts of terrorism. As there are French and American hostages, the courts in these countries should investigate these allegations.

I saw your post after seeing the reply from @COLRICHARDKEMP and @AntSpeaks, and then I read the article, twice. As someone who is actually a forensic ballistics specialist, I wanted to respond to your post, and this article, with some facts that will demonstrate just how deliberately dishonest and inaccurate both your post and the article are:

1. The damage to the body by bullet shot depends on the weapon and caliber used. A small low caliber pistol will always have less damage than a high caliber rifle such as the 5.56 you and the article mention.

2. The most important factor that determines the level of damage is velocity. And a 5.56 caliber high velocity rifle as is used by the IDF will therefore have a high degree of damage to the head and skull. None of the most obvious types of damage from any gunshot wound to the head nevertheless a 5.56 high velocity rifle shot are visible.

3. When the bullet hits the skull at high velocity, it bevels into the skull, which means as it’s passing through the skull, the immediate entry is small and clean whereas the exit at the front of the skull inside the head is wider and flared. It splinters the skull bone on entry and creates bone shards that then move with the bullet and cause even more damage.

4. Once the bullet enters the head, especially at high velocity, it heats up and creates a shockwave in front of the bullet which widens as the bullet travels through the head causing more damage. The brain is a solid, soft and highly inelastic organ, which means the damage to the brain is such that it literally mushes. The shockwave on entry causes external gases to enter the head in front of the bullet and thus significant displacement of brain matter very rapidly which in turn causes the head to expand rapidly thus causing primary and secondary fractures in various areas of the skull. NONE such fractures are visible in these X-rays.

5. Back to the velocity of the 5.56 rifle shot, for any bullet to stop in the area shown in any of the X-ray images, the bullets would need to travel at very low velocity. That means either the bullets were fired by low velocity small caliber pistols or the rifle shots would need to have been fired from a very long distance (many hundreds of meters) with pinpoint accuracy. When looking at the images, the caliber of bullets are not the same. The first image has a much shorter bullet than the second, meaning it could not be the same caliber.

Now if the children were deliberately shot in the head and neck, it would mean it would be from close range. With a high velocity 5.56 rifle of the type the IDF use, the bullet would never stop so quickly, ever. The bullet would travel so quickly due to VELOCITY that they would almost always exit the skull or body causing much larger exit wounds. None are visible as the bullets are all magically stopped for the perfect X-ray pose. As you can see, there is no damage to the brain in the X-rays. This is even more true of the neck shots where the bullets barely travel an inch and stop at the spine. This would happen only with very low velocity small caliber handguns such as .22 caliber pistols.

6. Basically, for any of the X-rays to be true, these would need to be low velocity pistols, and not high velocity rifles. The distance of fire would still not be very close range, as the damage is not significant enough. Very close range has higher velocity thus more damage.

I’m quite happy for any other ballistics experts to come and debate the post and article and my analysis above. What I can pretty comfortably say is that these are not head and neck shots by high velocity 5.56 rifles. At best these may be wounds from ricochets which would mean they are not deliberate and completely accidental, and also not from close range, but would account for the much lower velocity. At worst, and more likely, this entire post of yours, and the article, is complete and utter bullshit.
