It’s not fair to patients when hospitals force an unqualified “provider” on them claiming it’s the same thing. I could show up at a hair salon and cut your hair, not well, but I could do it. Should you pay me the same for it? Also hair grows back.
@bernaharbor @ZachJonesMD This is really the crux of the argument - either you need ugrad, Med school + rigorous residency for practice or you don’t. I certainly think you do, but apparently others think you can do some online courses and go out on your own.
Who would go to Med school in today’s world?
@dp_oneill@EasyOrtho1 doctors do not price the scan. we interpret them. we are employees or cogs in this giant private equity owned groups/hospitals racket right along with our patients. Private equity and insurance companies are laughing all the way to the bank
I'm a board-certified hematologist with a history of pulmonary embolism.
The last thing that worried me when I got my vaccine was the risk of blood clots.
What worried me, then and now?
COVID.
@newscentermaine patients will not have the ability to choose a real medical doctor. The insurance companies will make you see the cheapest with minimal training. Patients- fight for your rights. Don’t let this legislation pass

“I was taught in school to never refer to a doctor because our license means we can practice everything by ourselves”
Look what politicians have done to our most vulnerable children with AANP’s successful lobbying to disband the healthcare team!
#StopScopeCreep
@mrnatruth@LeahHoustonMD@MidlevelCare@AANP_NEWS@PhysForPatients@pppforpatients That’s not true...they chose nursing. No one is saying they couldn’t be a physician. The training is incredibly different and therefore the roles and responsibilities are incredibly different. The problem is thinking one is the same as the other
@RichMcHugh @NewsNationNow I should add - We love our bedside nurses and NPs team approach- where every patient can still be seen by a physician! This bait and switch at an urgent care, ER or even a doctors office is terrible.
@RichMcHugh @NewsNationNow Thank you. You are a hero for exposing the greed behind this. Every family deserves access to the highest-trained expert and not to have their bill run up by NPs ordering unnecessary tests and studies that the institution will profit even more off of !
Corporations putting #profitsoverpatients and replacing physicians with NP’s. NP was never designed to be a clinical degree and these companies have taken advantage. They order more expensive tests, and this can be the outcome. @ABCNewsHealth@FoxNews@NBCNews@drsanjaygupta
