The TDS having essential minerals is more countries having naturally uncontaminated water.... not for us in India..

TDS is measure of Total dissolved salts...

You can add a pinch of salt to get higher TDS and even more to get whatever desired TDS you want..

But issue is TDS increases due to pesticide or sewage contamination as well..

Hence 2.5% interest is not the actual bonus a new investor would get by buying SGBs from secondary market. It would be much lower..

Govt Hypocrisy

1. Getting back LTCG but still keeping STT.

2. Changing rules randomly. SGB's bought in secondary market have suddenly been made taxable.
Similar thing happened with removing indexation from Debt funds

3. Taxing severance pay of people getting fired

Also everyone is raising issue of increase of work hours to 12hours/day.
But they forget to mention that if people work in 12 hour shifts they will only have 4 working days & 3 day weekends due to the 48hour/week limit in the New labour code.

I am seeing a lot of myths getting spread about New labour codes..

Some big IT companies keep basic pay nearly 1/4th of the total CTC, these employees will immensely gain from Leave encashment, Gratuity, NPS & even severance which are all linked to basic pay..

Low basic keeps both Leave encashments and Gratuity very low.

Hence with increase in basic the employee would gain more from Leave encashment & Gratuity.

He had abolished LTCG while bringing in STT.
Since 2018 the Govt brought back LTCG but forgot to remove STT...

There is already a stamp duty that people pay...

Then in 2020 dividends which were tax free in our hands were taxed at slab rates...

Infact all goods should be taxed not more than 12% except for sin goods.

ACs, Refrigerators, washing machines shouldn't be taxed beyond 12%.

Mobiles, Internet, banking services etc should be taxed even lower than 12%.

NO GST on Penalties & interest
