The anti-AI rage is building now that people are talking more frankly and openly about AI nuking a bunch of jobs.
This was inevitable. It was always going to happen. I recently wrote a Substack blog saying "AI will get more divisive from here on out."
But here's how I see it: it's very simple.
If you want Fully Automated Luxury Space Communism, then by definition, automation must destroy even the need for human jobs.
FALSC does not happen by executive order or governmental mandate.
It happens through Permissionless Disruptive Innovation (PDI).
You cannot force FALSC to come around through fiat. You must create the infrastructure and transition.
Many people are afraid of being left behind, of change. Change is scary. It always has been and always will be. People are going to feel like the rug has been yanked out from under them. Not the first time it's happened in history, and won't be the last. From farmers to seamstresses to telephone operators, many careers have gone the way of the dinosaurs.
I'm not going to crassly say "just get over it." History shows that these transitions are often painful - needlessly so. That's why I and others are working to figure out the best path forward, to create a soft landing, rather than a crash landing.
Lemme get this straight - on America’s 250th Anniversary year we have:
1) Section 702 of FISA enabling warrantless spying on Americans
2) Section 224 of the ‘27 NDAA near irreversibly integrating Israel into our military tech and systems
3) Section 602 of the NDAA integrating Israel into US intelligence, making it very difficult to disentangle without clearing significant legal hurdles
4) Antisemitism speech laws in 38 states preventing speech against Zionism and criticizing the Israeli government’s genocide?
Sincerely, what the fuck is this?
@KanikaBK@Polymarket Maybe because it was invented long after the religion was
“Sorry, I’m an accountant but it’s against my religion to use anything but an abacus” gtfo
No one is forcing them to work there
If section 224 of the NDAA passes we should take up arms and overthrow our own government, just as our founders said in the Declaration of Independence.
I need a replacement for alcohol that lets me get fucked up in a pro-social way on a regular basis but which doesn’t tank my mental health. Do not say weed. I do not enjoy weed, unfortunately.
i think health insurance companies should be charged with murder if they intentionally deny a patient a lifesaving medication or procedure. if they want to act like doctors, they need to face the consequences. if a healthcare provider does that, we can lose our licenses.
Hasan Piker is not the movement, he is the megaphone for the masses, You could ban him off every site, refuse him access to every country, but it will never change our stance on israel, Israel is a fascist genocidal "country" mass murdering civillians, fuck Israel and fuck you
