@therealcliffyb Recently finished your autobiography (which was excellent btw, thank you for writing that) and the algorithm recommended me Lawbreaker videos on YT showing new public servers and a healthy active 2026 fan community, so Iโd say itโs going pretty well all things considered! ๐
As someone who runs a mobile game studio and is also heavily in AI, it makes me laugh when someone thinks they can just solo vibe-code a $41m/mo game.
It is 20% about the core gameplay and the rest is live ops and experience tuning for retention.
These game studios are more like quants or psychologists than devs.
FTUE, D1/D7/D30, Churn, Cohort analysis, winback, progression, cosmetics vs power, ARPPU, CAC/CPI, ROAS.
Everything is carefully measured and quantified over months and everything gets AB tested. Not only ads but small features in game.
To make a game as financially successful as this is more about heavy data analysis and an insane analytics + live ops backend.
You can vibecode in a single prompt a gameplay MVP, not the hundreds of overlapping systems and have them balanced and calibrated for profitability.
This would take years solo.
Grok is becoming best in class when it comes to building games with AI
You can have an all-Grok one person game dev studio
โ Grok 4.5: fast + powerful
โ Grok Imagine: game sprites
โ Grok Build: great interface
Here's how I've been building games with the stack above together with my tool Spriterrific (that uses Grok Imagine behind the scenes)

I see many people in my comments saying they feel unsure of how to build games with AI.
OR that they've tried, but feel overwhelemed, or can't get the results.
If that's you, check out my playlist here where I build literally every kind of game with AI https://t.co/d8EdiOT659
Introducing the #PhaserGameAgent ๐ค
Anyone can ask an AI to write game code. We did something harder: we built a brand-new Phaser engine designed from the ground up for how agents think and build.
Describe a game โก๏ธ Walk away โก๏ธ Play it
Code, art, and sound โ built for you, start to finish. Every game gets its own link to share instantly in the browser ๐พ
A decade of Phaser. This is what it was building toward ๐

More PixiJS 3D testing ๐
Take any live 2D PixiJS content (sprites, text, graphics) and render it onto 3D geometry
Our goal is to make working between 2D and 3D as seamless as possible in our WebGPU/WebGL renderer
Let us know what features you'd like to see!
๐ฎ We've teamed up with @RedditforDevs / @Reddit for the Games with a Hook Hackathon and there's $40,000 up for grabs! ๐ค

@chongdashu Keep up the great content please - some of the progress scares me a little, ngl, but it's still fascinating to see! I think we're truly moving into a 'headless software' world.
@chongdashu Here's the model we use: https://t.co/LoFV543BDY - and thanks โบ๏ธ I love seeing the stuff you post. Things are just moving so fast right now, it's insane! We've got some fun new tools coming out - happy to give you a sneak peek soon.
