Once told I'm "Oddly charming"
@Clarissa_Laskey I am waiting to see what your current federal government does. I can tell you the rest of the world has not been impressed with it and the back sliding of social norms
if you or your friends need a new citizenship I might be able to arrange something with a quicky CDN wedding ;)
Blaming the air traffic controller - and somehow linking it to 'diversity' - is incomprehensible nonsense from a man devoid of empathy.
ATC audio can be listened to by anybody, including the American president who can't be bothered to do that.
I'll go through the transcript. /1
i had to laugh. I have been paired to work alongside a coworker who is a master in his craft. I laughed when the site lead told me "this isn't a punishment... but we want you to learn from him"
apparently he's quite the diva
I got yelled at for somehow drilling a rock in concrete

Where i live in manitoba there is a very short window when the Temps drop enough to freeze the massive lake and make huge areas that you can skate on. So much fun to nordic skate on wild ice.
@Clarissa_Laskey I have been investing in collecting string and discarded tin cans for decades. conditions are almost just right for the fall of civilization and I'm swooping in with my string and tin can opperation.
just have to avoid actively nesting birds and really hungry goats.
@LittleMissLizz except for dying too soon. what he could have dreamed up in the following decades... makes me wonder.
but as they say, I'll take what I can get and we got a lot from Jim.
@Clarissa_Laskey I just bought some shoes and was amazed at how expensive they are now. I might just wear flip flops with wool socks in winter to save money.
Plus losing a toe or three I can get into those cheaper demo sizes.
I checked into a hotel. I got an upgrade since i've spent a month in this hotel over the last year. feeling good and like a VIP.
open the door, and the room smells a bit. like old dinner... there is a coffee cup. takeout at the door, food in the fridge. slept in bed.
oops!
@meralee727 your mom has good taste in presents. I gave up on them years ago since I'm not religious and my family would buy the WORST gifts ever. I could give them the exact item I wanted and they still would screw it up.
I figure i'm an adult and can buy my own stuff ;)
@meralee727 we had the same with xmas. to make sure we had enough presents mom would wrap individual battery packs, the screw driver you needed to put it together, an orange just in case you got hungry while building it... think she even wrapped the instructions one year. lol
@16campaignbites@RonFilipkowski Marshall law is how you can always find the best prices on all the high quality items you and your family desires at Marshalls, Home Sense, Winners or TJ Max.
in Canada we had the Zellers law. where the lowest price IS the law. But that was replaced by a targeted failure.
I am laughing remembering how in university, several women wouldn't date me cause I (GASP!) "still lived at home"
I was too polite to say anything
but older me would gladly point out how her other suitor may live on his own but will be in debt til 2025
hope they are both happy;)
I am having dinner with a friend and their husband isn't going to make it and I asked if the cats were going to take his place. and then asked ChatGPT to make an image. of a pair of cats pretending to be people.
Never thought of the cat on the bottom on 4 feet
