I love @Smartwool socks, they're my favorite for winter boot socks. Never had this happen before, but these 1 month old Christmas present socks have torn for no apparent reason. Bummer.
@Brandon_Warne The timing of it is absolutely wild. I think it came down to Tom wanting to clean house of everyone associated with the post-2023 collapse on-field and off. Tom and Falvey reached an impasse and ultimately gave Falvey the soft firing out of respect.
We need to talk about public bathroom liquid hand soaps. Somewhere we lost our way from nice smelling, thick hand soaps that actually cleaned your hands to useless foam that is 90% air and somehow leaves my hands feeling dirtier after washing.
@NickNelsonMN It's a combo of nostalgia, "it's different", and this weird idea that some folks have that he would tell Falvey to F off and wouldn't listen to him which is somehow being portrayed as a good thing. Idk if he'd be good or bad but it feels like a lot of wishcasting.
British TV shows are like:
Hello and welcome to season 84 of our competition - you might recognize the last name of one of our contestants, as their great grandfather won the title in season 3
@greggtmasterson The funniest part about the "scary downtown" crowd is that they're mostly talking about parking at a ramp full of fans, walking in a large group in the daytime to the ballpark, and walking back with that same group. So scary ๐
@greggtmasterson "I am OUT on Baldelli because he didn't spit in Falvey's face when told how to manage the bullpen at 2pm. Also I bet Baldelli would miss a game if his wife was having a baby"
@JulienRBW I don't hate it at all, especially if it's for a couple million and the understanding that the split will be more 60-40 or 65-35 than 50-50. Guy is good behind the plate, and pitchers love throwing to him. Just imagine if he could hit.
