@CentroLeaks I disagree. I think it takes strategy out of the game. What moves you choose to keep and get rid of is part of planning for future battles and prepping for the end game. And having no PP for moves means just spamming hyper beam over and over again. No management of resources.

@leclercelliott_ @WhoisSkid I just don't think we should say "you ran 7th all year here's your championship. I think it should be you have 3 races to prove you're better than the others. The only thing I think is stupid is the final round is 1 race, not 3.

@leclercelliott_ @WhoisSkid The playoff format is the means to decide the championship. In any sport, that means to decide a champion should be one where the eligible players and teams need to prove they are the best. And even with a points format a lap car can still ruin a championship run by causing DNF.

@leclercelliott_ @WhoisSkid I'm not talking about making the playoffs either, I'm talking about championship eligibility. Not making the playoffs ruins chances at championships. You should need to beat your opponents to win a championship. That caution I'm 2016? That affected everyone at the same time.

@leclercelliott_ @WhoisSkid And that affected every car in the field, not just Edwards. Plus how many times do you see a team "needs help" to make the playoffs. In other sports you also get situations where someone can be knocked out of contention by the result of a game they have nothing to do with.
