In the massive 2015 Secret Wars event, Carol Danvers served on the front lines. She played an active role in the resistance. During the final Incursion between the main Earth-616 and the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610), the multiverse was completely destroyed. To save a fraction of reality, Reed Richards and Black Panther constructed a multiversal "Life Raft". Carol Danvers was handpicked as one of the few heroes to board this raft, safely placing her in stasis while the rest of existence was wiped. She then took a leading, aggressive role fighting on the front lines until Reed Richards successfully remade the universe into the "All-New, All-Different Marvel" era.

Still amazing to me how hypocritical Marvel is. Mary Jane & Peter can't be together. Mephisto/Paul/Nick Lowe will always keep them apart. MJ is Jackpot, she is Venom, she is Tony Stark's secretary. But when they need to sell a SPIDER-MAN book - just put out a MJ variant cover.
