Did you know? November is Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. Last week, Mecklenburg County Clerks hosted a Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse to raise awareness about the disease. Clerks wore purple, the official color of the Alzheimer’s movement.

Earlier this month, the Clerk’s Office hosted its Annual Barbeque Fundraiser! This year's event was welcomed with beautiful weather, live music provided by Otis and the Revelators, baked goods provided by Clerk's Office staff, and barbeque provided by Shane's Rib Shack.

Last month, the Clerk’s Office hosted its annual luncheon to celebrate the conclusion of the summer internship for our Deputy Clerk Interns, Jean Camejo Zuniga and Jonathan Sterrett from the City of Charlotte’s Mayor’s Youth Employment Program.
In partnership with @charmeckda, Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office, Mecklenburg County SelfServe Center (@MeckCourts) and @ncprobono, the Mecklenburg County Clerk’s Office helped to host a free Criminal Record Expunction Clinic at the Courthouse on June 29, 2019.
On June 20, 2019, Mecklenburg County Clerks celebrated the 3rd Annual Clerk’s Day. Each year, Clerk’s Day is commemorated during the third week in June to recognize the significant efforts made by Clerk Chinn-Gary and her assistant and deputy clerks to advance court excellence.
In support of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month in June, Mecklenburg County Clerks wore purple for the @alzassociation's campaign to #ENDALZ and hosted a free lunch and learn event called "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia" to raise awareness about the disease.
This week, Mecklenburg County Clerks hosted their annual Bake Sale fundraiser! Thank you to all of the clerks that contributed baked goods for the sale and volunteered at the event. And special thank you to Clerk Wanda Fleming for coordinating a successful Bake Sale this year!
