Help #medlibs ! I swear there was an article or a webinar or something in the last few years about being happy with not pursuing a career in library management- or at least not as a director. Is this something I'm making up?
Omg- this is the resource I've waited for. An EXTENSIVE list of all the journals that publish case reports. This is going to make a lot of medical students (and their librarians) happy. https://t.co/EG2vo43prT Thanks to those who worked on this including @angspenc
New bookstore alert!!!
The Lit Room just opened three days ago in Garden City across from Push and Pour. It’s a small, curated shop but I was able to get some steals on the used book table.
Worth a visit if you’re cruising on the Greenbelt
In the last 30 days I've moved, started a new job, got two kids started in college in different cities, put a house on the market, and bought a house. The most stressful part has been having to learn how to use Microsoft products again. Lol
I'm listening to The Anthropocene Reviewed by @johngreen, and I screamed out loud in the car (apologies to my husband) when I realized I competed against John at the 1994 Academic Decathlon nationals in NJ. What a small and sometimes delightful world!
Though I feel too old to relocate halfway across the country for a job, I'm doing it anyway because it will be a cool opportunity. I'll leave Idaho in 2 weeks to work at the Ruth Lilly Medical Library in Indianapolis. Apprehensive but really excited!
@Llipke3 I got a new job and will be moving halfway across the country. Exciting except for the finding a place to live part! We'll probably buy/sell in the fall- renting until then
My summer project is cleaning up over 5 years of files in my Google Drive. Mostly boring except that Past Molly named files things like 'AARRGH', 'Wait, What', and 'Canada'. Who even was I? 😆
It’s true. My opponent signed the petition to dissolve the Meridian Library District.
The stakes are high on May 16. Help me get the word out - preserve our public libraries. VOTE.
I've got a rough month. 5 conference presentations, a statistics final exam, a webinar to teach, an on-campus interview, my school's graduation, and my kids' graduation. Send chocolate.
