@RhiaCrewe People supported me during the crisis, but no could rescue me. No one stood up to the abuser and said “this is demonic behavior”. Even though I was believed, and everyone I cared about knew the things he was saying weren’t true - no one confronted him and condemned his behavior.
Narcissists surround themselves with people who don’t question their lies. People who believe everything they tell them. This reinforces their ability to manipulate others- which is the most important thing to them.
They often curate a circle of enablers—people who are either too naive, too dependent, or too afraid to push back. These individuals serve as reinforcement or validation, constantly affirming the narcissist’s delusions and boosting their fragile ego.
The moment someone starts questioning or exposing their lies, the narcissist sees them as a threat. That’s when the smear campaigns start, or the person gets discarded or gaslighted into submission. The ability to manipulate is their primary form of control—it’s how they feel powerful, significant, and invulnerable.
Narcissists have a strong sense of entitlement. They believe they deserve special treatment, admiration, and privileges without necessarily earning them. This entitlement often leads them to exploit others, disregard boundaries, and react with anger or manipulation when their expectations aren’t met.
It’s one of the core traits of narcissistic personality disorder and is especially prominent in those with strong narcissistic or psychopathic tendencies.
#NarcissisticAbuse is insidious. Once the malignant #narcissist begins abusing their target(s), the abuse will escalate continuously to no end. They will push the boundaries of their abuse as far as they can.
Their warped sense of self importance, lack of empathy, and a pathological need for dominance, causes them to find a thrill in the destruction of others at their own hands.
