It is amazing to me that some Orthopaedic surgeons want to see only new patients who are "appropriate or ready for surgery".
If you never see patients for whom nonoperative management is appropriate, how do you know when surgery is actually indicated?

Came to me complaining of progressive ankle pain with on/off swelling.patient is community mobilizer with cane!
No recent trauma .any ideas?
