It was first anticipated that COVID-19’s enduring complications would be cardiac and pulmonary but this has not been the case. As shown at our research dissemination event at the Mater hospital last week, many Long Covid symptoms have been neurological and neuropsychiatric.

Anticipate Study indicates that persistent health issues are common among patients with severe COVID-19, particularly those who are older adults, have pre-existing health problems, and who had been in ICU and/or readmission care.

Anticipate Study: Antibiotics are overused in moderately unwell patients hospitalized with COVID-19. Antibiotic duration appears related to oxygen dependency. Antibiotic requirements should be reviewed on an ongoing basis and stopped when not indicated.
