We had a great launch AGM to elect the committee and discuss plans for the future!
Looking forward to working closely with the local team to build a fairer, socialist Britain 🌹
@Rezu_c@Rehman_Chishti@KellyTolhurst@MaidstoneLabour we don’t have any connection to Maidstone Labour, so we can’t help with that.
But we can link you to the Medway MP’s voting records, no lies here, they both voted against free school meals! have a check on: https://t.co/8Zu3tZfbH9
Medway, your MPs have voted AGAINST the extension of free school meals over half term.
They are happy to let children starve.
This is disgraceful and disgusting behaviour. We are ashamed to have them as MPs.
Young Labour stands in solidarity with the trans community.
We also send our solidarity to Rosie Duffield’s staff who have taken a principled stance against bigotry.
We desperately call on the leadership to uphold their ‘zero-tolerance on hate’ promise, and condemn Rosie’s vile comments with appropriate discipline.
Trans lives must not be treated like pawns in electoral chess. The Labour Party must always defend LGBTQ+ rights.
Solidarity with the second staffer who’s taken the decision to stand up and leave.
Transphobia has no place in our party, and it’s time that action is taken against those who perpetuate it. It’s time to #suspendrosieduffield
A Member of Parliament for the Labour Party, a Party created as the political arm of the working class, attacking their own former employee in public and possibly outing them in the process.
How much longer is this going to be allowed to go on?
Medway Young Labour supports this call for the whip to be withdrawn from Rosie Duffield.
It is an embarrassment to us, a party that should champion LGBTQ+ rights, to have an MP who has consistently shown disregard for the the trans community.
We fully condemn her actions.
LGBT+ Labour Scotland calls for Rosie Duffield MP to have the whip withdrawn. Despite attempts to reach out and educate, she continues to like transphobic content on Twitter and mock those raising concerns. This is unacceptable behaviour from a Labour MP. @Keir_Starmer
Students this year will be studying in unprecedented circumstances and will need extra support.
Given 80% reported to @nusuk that they’re worried about coping financially at university and part-time jobs will be in short supply, Government must do more for those facing hardship.
Finally the Government recognise just how far off the mark they truly were.
Well done to all who rightly demanded change.
In a normal Government with any level of integrity we would probably have seen Williamson step down after such a shambles but he remains in place for now.
