In 1855, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson founded a Bible school for free black children and slaves where he and other volunteers taught them to read. He taught there regularly until the war, then continued funding it until he was killed.

Among the six slaves he owned was one who asked Jackson to buy him so that he could more easily buy his own freedom at a later date (with Jackson’s encouragement, he did). Another was an older woman who also requested that he purchase her. A third was a young girl, likely with disabilities, who an elderly widow asked Jackson to purchase from her to secure the girl’s future. When Jackson departed for the war, he left instructions that she was to be cared. The other three came into his possession via marriage.

Plenty of firsthand accounts beginning long before the war and up to his death describe a humble, kind, dutiful, and charitable man, who was socially awkward and almost completely unconcerned with what other people thought of him.

But knowing what the acronym stands for should not be confused with actually knowing ECDO Theory.

To know that “DNA” stands for 'deoxyribonucleic acid,' for example, tells you virtually nothing about what DNA is, how it functions, how its structure relates to heredity, or why it is biologically significant. You have learned the expansion of an acronym, not the substance of the thing it names.

The same distinction applies to ECDO Theory. Memorizing its full title may create the appearance of knowledge, concealing a paucity in the theory’s actual content: its premises, proposed mechanisms, arguments, evidence, predictions, or implications. It is knowledge of the label rather than knowledge of the subject: a kind of pseudo-knowledge, or 'ingens vanitatum' under ethical skepticism — an abundance of words or appearances where substantive understanding is absent.

This distinction matters especially when evaluating, criticizing, defending, or attempting to summarize a theory. A person cannot reasonably claim to understand a theory merely because they repeat its surface terminology or know what its acronym means. Nor can the theory fairly be reduced to assumptions inferred from its title.

For instance, while "Dzhanibekov Effect" is an aspect of the theory, knowing the "Dzhanibekov Effect" can serve as a kind of red herring, separating those who actually know the theory from those who overheard a term once.

In order to speak meaningfully about ECDO Theory—whether in agreement or disagreement—one must first engage with the theory itself. That means reading what it actually proposes, understanding the mechanisms and reasoning it presents, distinguishing its claims from straw man interpretations imposed upon it, and then assessing those claims on their merits.

Knowing what ECDO stands for is not 'knowing ECDO Theory.' To know the theory, you have to actually read the theory.

That requires effort.

But there is market strategy wound up inside this... (remember, this is what I do...)

Part of the reason ECDO Theory is spreading so fast, is because its ambassadors are willing to do the work - while in contrast, debunkers are typically lazy, lower in ethical perception, and of less-capable acumen. After all, this is why they fell for the Narrative in the first place.

ECDO is real meat; a game animal one had to go out, kill, and skillfully field dress.
