Well, a personal achievement nobody asked for: I might have dreamt for a lot of things I am doing today. But this is the biggest one thus far. To take my grandparents around in a new city, hand in hand. To quench their curiosity like they did mine as a child.
With Ed Cohen (Imperial College London) we are recruting 2 PhDs for a nice project called "Deciphering the functional architecture of neuronal proteins using 3D SMLM, artificial intelligence and robust statistics". More information here : https://t.co/ucSEZyU4Y7
Urgent: searching for candidates for a funded PhD to develop tools and study receptor trafficking and synaptic plasticity in brain slices using advanced super resolution tools and glutamate sensors. Send motivation, CV and a reco letter. Pls RT @iins_bordeaux@Neuro_Bordeaux
Absolutely delighted to have met @ardemp at Bordeaux Neurocampus today. Not everyday do you get to listen to someone who makes you ever more enthusiastic to do your science. Thanks for your time!
My first seminar as an ambassador/fellow of @CNRS was very enjoyable. I love how @iins_bordeaux focuses on neuroscience from single molecules to behavior. I especially enjoyed chatting with the enthusiastic students at lunch.
haven't been around here much, but this needed to be here. i just finished my first entire electrophysiology experiment. the achievement is that it was without crying or booking for the rage room after!
Hi all, if you are thinking about applying for an ERC Starting Grant we are organizing this workshop starting at 9.30AM CET - we have ERC officers, a talk with tips and a session for you to ask any questions to successful applicants!
Gets a beautiful cell that gives up before imaging. My unnecessarily dramatic brain, "Is it better to have had a good thing and lost it, or never to have had it?"
PS: This is not the cell that gave up.
very rarely do my cells acknowledge and reciprocate the love I shower on them day in and out. today was one such day, so happy #FluorescenceFriday to me and you all!
"Many of us face the perception that the more time a scientist spends popularizing science, the less scientifically accomplished they are. That is far from true," writes @frakyc in this week's #ScienceWorkingLife. https://t.co/svKdOl5nyW @ScienceCareers

They took me to extracurriculars and classes as a kid and the least I could have done for them is show them what and how I am doing now, though far away from them. Their visit in itself has been a wholesome experience and I couldn't have asked for anything better.🫶🏻
