New introductory tweet time!
I'm Mees, and I play Iradri, Aelza, Orisel, Lauren, and a host of other primarily WoW characters, though I am playing XIV as well.
I also get lots of pretty art from talented artists!
Feel free to DM for lore talk, art sharing, RP, or otherwise!
@tentakvlt Genuinely it was just serviceable but it didn’t have any message to say at all besides glazing the Amani to appease people’s sensibilities
Zul’jan had the closest thing resembling depth, Liadrin is a bumbling child, the Void were actual neanderthals
This is a question for the WoW and FFXIV players. How’d you react if Blizzard or SE ended updates for your games suddenly? That’s how Destiny players are feeling
Unlike Zul'Aman and its exploration of the Amani loa, or Harandar and its exploration of Haranir isolation, Eversong Woods doesn't have anything to *say* about the blood elves.
In an expansion about faith, their primary zone doesn't have a thesis about its main race.
The main story isn't bad by *any* stretch, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do: be a prologue for Midnight's leveling campaign. It sets up the Lightbloom, the Twilights, the Amani, etc.
But what it doesn't do, compared to the other zones, is explore the blood elves.
@tentakvlt@lepidopterrors Friend tried hyping me up on Dawntrail and seeing the SciFi city in it nuked my drive to play it ever
I can suspend disbelief for a lot but not parallel friendly societies struggling with outhouses vs. peak star trek levels of tech
