Good content is never bound by language. A prime example is #HanumanAnsh - survived #Batwara1947, survived #ToxicTheMovie, and now taking a fight with #MirzapurTheMovie, and boy how it is doing… getting shows in Tamil Nadu… the sheer power of content.

₹100 Crore should be easy from here.

#HanumanAnsh - A review & grattitude towards @filmervishal

There are some films that do not deserve to be rated on any scale, because they exist somewhere beyond the boundaries of ratings and numbers. I particularly feel this way about devotional films, because when you go to watch a devotional film, the first thing you look for is not how technically perfect it is, how well it is edited or how many stars you would give it out of five. The real question is much simpler: did it make you feel something? Did the emotion reach your heart? Did you believe in what was happening on the screen for those few hours? If it did, then for me, the film has already achieved what it came to achieve.

Earlier this year, I watched Krishnavataram: Part 1, and it was one such experience for me. I thoroughly enjoyed that film, loved it and, in some strange way, even lived it while sitting in the theatre. There were moments when I genuinely felt as if the presence and blessings of Shri Krishna were around me. I went into Hanuman Ansh with a similar expectation, but Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi has given me an experience that, for me, has gone even beyond what I felt while watching Krishnavataram.

Perhaps the reason this film affected me so deeply is because Baba Laxman Das Ji Maharaj, also known as Neeb Karori Baba, is not merely a name from history for me. There is a small personal memory attached to him and to the place where his spiritual journey began to take shape. When I was a child, my father took me to a place near Farrukhabad where Baba Ji spent a considerable period of his life in meditation and dhyan before eventually moving towards Kainchi Dham. Many years later, when I bought my first bike, the first ride I took on it was to Baba Ji's dham. These may sound like very ordinary memories, but some places quietly become a part of you, and whenever you return to them, they bring back a part of your childhood with them.

Baba Laxman Das Ji Maharaj's life itself is extraordinary. It is believed that he possessed many inner powers and was one of the greatest devotees of Hanuman Ji, with Hanuman Ji somehow remaining a constant presence throughout his life's journey. Hanuman Ansh explores this journey from his childhood as Laxmi Narayan, his gradual detachment from worldly life, his movement from one place to another, the people whose lives he touched, the teachings he gave them and the simple wish he carried throughout his life that everyone around him should be well. At the heart of it all was his devotion to Shri Ram and Hanuman Ji. The film also brings several of the miraculous stories associated with Baba Ji's life to the screen, but what makes them work is that they are presented with faith and innocence rather than with an intention to merely create spectacle.

While writing this review, I know it may appear that I am writing more with my heart than with the objectivity expected from a film review. But perhaps that is the most honest way I can write about Hanuman Ansh. Devotional cinema is different. You cannot always stand outside it and judge it from a distance. Either the emotion reaches you or it doesn't. Either something within you responds to what you are seeing or it doesn't. There is very little in between, and I believe that is precisely why conventional ratings don't mean much here.

What touched me most about the film is its purity. The real locations give every frame a remarkable sense of authenticity, and there is a simplicity in the way the story has been presented that I found deeply beautiful. Nothing felt unnecessarily manufactured. The places looked real, the people felt real and the world of Baba Ji felt as though it had been recreated with genuine respect for the subject. There is an innocence in the filmmaking that is becoming increasingly rare, because today we often see films trying very hard to convince us that they are great. Hanuman Ansh doesn't seem interested in doing that. It simply tells its story with faith, sincerity and a great deal of heart.

The direction is one of the biggest strengths of the film, particularly in the way the story moves without losing its emotional centre. The flow keeps you connected to Baba Ji's journey, while the simplicity of the narration allows the subject itself to remain more important than the filmmaker. And then there is the background score, which deserves a special mention. It is extraordinarily beautiful and there were several moments when the music alone gave me goosebumps. It doesn't feel like music that has been added to make a scene emotional; it feels as though it is quietly carrying the emotion that already exists within the scene.

But the most unexpected thing happened to me somewhere in the middle of this experience. I cried. I don't remember crying in a cinema for as long as I can remember, and perhaps I have become so accustomed to watching films as a cinephile that I have learned to observe them rather than surrender myself completely to them. But while watching Hanuman Ansh, there came a point when I stopped observing the film and simply became a part of it. I was overwhelmed by what I was seeing, by what Baba Ji's journey represented, by the memories that came back to me and perhaps by the faith that has always been quietly present somewhere within all of us. I cannot explain exactly what happened in those moments, and perhaps I shouldn't try to.

That is also why I don't want to call Hanuman Ansh a five-star film or a ten-out-of-ten film. Those numbers feel strangely inadequate here. A rating can tell you whether a critic liked a film, but it cannot tell you what a film made you feel. And for me, this film made me feel something that I had not felt in a very long time.

The real winners of Hanuman Ansh are its direction, the flow of the story, its innocence, its purity, its authenticity and, above everything else, the subject itself. Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi has approached Baba Ji's life with a sincerity that I could feel throughout the film, and that sincerity travelled from the screen to the audience.

I went into the theatre knowing that I was going to watch the story of Baba Laxman Das Ji Maharaj. I came out feeling that, for a few hours, I had been allowed to walk beside him, listen to the stories of his life and experience a little of the devotion that defined his existence. Perhaps that is why I am finding it so difficult to review this film in the conventional sense.

Some films entertain you, some films impress you, some films make you think, and some films stay with you. Then there are a few that make you feel that you have received something rather than merely watched something.

For me, Hanuman Ansh is one of those films.

I sincerely hope people go and experience it in a theatre, not because I want to give it a particular rating or convince anyone that it is technically flawless, but because sometimes a film deserves to be approached with an open heart. Watch it with that innocence, let the story unfold in front of you, and perhaps it will give you something that you were not even expecting to receive.

For me, it did.

Sometimes it feels like the life of a common man has little value in this country. If the allegations are established after a fair and independent inquiry, if this Dr. Talwar found responsible must face the strictest action. Years of delays in the treatment of a child cannot simply be brushed aside. The family deserves answers, accountability and justice.

Just read entire article. Dr Sachin Talwar denied treatment coz father of this kid lodged an official complaint with PMO for delayed treatment.

This Dr must be sentenced - NOTHING LESS. AIIMS is super Delay babu system where common man has to stand for long years for ops while big people have immediate entry.

This tragedy is gut-wrenching.

18-year-old Kunal and his father fell off a cliff in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and his mother followed them both as she saw them plummeting.

Kunal had purchased an iPhone but was unable to manage the instalments. He got involved into an argument with his father over the same and left home for the hill in Tisgaon. His parents followed him to the location where the standoff continued for nearly three hours. Kunal stood by the edge of a cliff and threatened to jump. Other than his parents, even others at the location tried to convince Kunal. Eyewitnesses said locals even offered to arrange an iPhone 15 Pro for Kunal.

As the standoff continued Kunal’s father approached him and attempted to bring him away from the edge. During the intervention, both lost their balance and fell into the gorge. Kunal’s mother, Sangeeta, jumped off the hill seconds later.

All three family members died on the spot and their bodies were sent for a postmortem.
