@iTweetTurf Interestingly, the tweet you responded to calculates out to a 30% interest rate. She’s paying roughly $285/month. If she kept that up and refinanced them to even 10%, she’d be done in <6 years.
I sense something’s amiss here...🤔
@bwecht I second what many others have said. Your career switch is fascinating. I think a lot of people would love to hear the story in detail along with any life lessons (or lack of) you think it might convey.
@rebeccawatson@DarshunKendrick Not sure I understand your point. Elementary & HS public school is free to all. If I understood her correctly, @DarshunKendrick was arguing against this at the college level. So, I don’t think so. Am I misunderstanding your comment?
@DarshunKendrick@rebeccawatson I think @DarshunKendrick was just pointing out that in the current system, the rich pay more by not qualifying for need-based aid. If they don’t need to pay, then they keep the $$ which increases the wealth gap. So let them pay & leave free tuition for those who can’t afford it.

@bickernicks Hi Eric, thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately, I haven’t done a new interview in several years and have moved on. I loved doing it, but the audience just wasn’t there. Best of luck with the book!
@se4realhinton I’m sure you hear it all the time, but thank you sincerely for helping me to fall in love with reading at a young age. I spent my teen years in a world of your creation.
