@CosmicRayquaza Can also regenerate lost arms, hold their body in a choose position indefinitely, some can swim, and at least one species with a stalk crawls.

Pentacrinus is an extinct sea lily (also known as a crinoid) that attached itself to driftwood during its lifetime. They were alive during the Jurassic Period. These were segments of the sea lily's stalk and were found at Leckhampton Hill in the Cotswolds #FossilFriday

Log #crinoid colonies are among my favorite fossils. And a hot topic in some circles: did they floated on the ocean surface or did they sit on the ocean floor? Either way, they are super cool.
