New in Megahit: Updated seniority stats! 📊
• I’ve revised the list of seniority levels.
• The seniority data in Megahit is now more accurate.
• The seniority level of each subscriber is included in exports.
Of course, you can filter your subscriber list by seniority level as before!
@MegahitApp finds your subscribers' names, job titles, LinkedIn profiles, employers, and more. All from their email addresses (even Gmails)!
Then it helps you use that data for monetization. For example, by giving you audience statistics to show to advertisers.
🔍 Mining Your Own Subscribers:
Tools like @MegahitApp can tell you which of your subscribers work at companies that should be advertising to your audience.
This works best for b2b publishers!
New in Megahit: See where your newsletter subscribers live! 🗺️
Super useful to send targeted event invites.
Now the location is shown right in the subscriber list.
The data comes from their online profiles.
It's unaffected by Apple Mail Privacy Protection.
@MegahitApp finds job data on your newsletter subscribers.
Then it helps you use that data to monetize better.

Another recent feature addition to @MegahitApp:
Kit newsletters can now easily enrich their unsubscribed contacts.
Customers use it, for example, to send targeted re-engagement campaigns or to find trends among their unsubscribes.
The feature has also been available on the Beehiiv integration for a while. (If you want it on a different integration, let me know!)
Additionally, the rebranding from ConvertKit to Kit is now complete in Megahit.
Today, I released @MegahitApp 2.0. 🚀
It comes with huge usability improvements.
It makes it so much easier to access and use your audience data.
It adds proper support for teams (vs. just solo operators).
It makes things $408 cheaper per year—for both existing and new customers.
The usability improvements are so big, I decided to release the update as Megahit 2.0.
9 months went into building this update. It was a lot of work. I took no time off. And it was worth it!
If you are a customer, you received an email a few minutes ago with the full details.
My goal is to make @MegahitApp the best audience data tool for B2B newsletters. I think we can get there.
If you run a B2B media company and want to monetize better, I'd love to talk.
I've been quiet on social media over the last few months.
That’s because I spent all of my time on development to make @MegahitApp the best data tool for B2B newsletters. 🚀
Over the next few weeks, I'll post about some of these changes.
A recent one was Ghost support.
Besides beehiiv, Kit, Intuit Mailchimp, and many others, Megahit now has a Ghost integration.
If you don't know Megahit yet: It makes it really easy to enrich your newsletter audience with job data and then use that data for monetization.

Megahit turned 1 earlier this month! 🎂
I haven’t told its origin story publicly yet, so here we go:
On May 4, 2023, I sat on a bus, overworked from a different project.
My friend @cjgustafson was running a large B2B finance newsletter.
I had a sudden thought: Did he even know who was on his email list? What if Elon Musk was subscribed?
CJ told me he had initially tried to look people up, but past 1,000 subscribers he just couldn’t keep up anymore.
So we set out to discover who was on there.
And make no mistake: CJ is a smart business man.
He told me pretty quickly: “If I know who’s subscribed, that will help me sell ads.”
Well, that’s exactly what happened.
I got to work and wrote a software that helped CJ identify more than half of the people on his email list.
Plus, it picked out the people who were important.
Equipped with all that data, he’s had no trouble selling out his ad slots ever since.
Seeing his success, I decided to turn my software into a product: @MegahitApp.
Today, Megahit helps many newsletters find out who on their email lists would benefit from becoming sponsors.
Then their sales teams reach out and close the deal. It’s easier when the person knows you already.
I’d like to use this opportunity to say thank you.
Thanks to CJ for being open to the experiment!
Thanks to every customer and partner that has helped me turn Megahit into what it is today!
Thanks to every supporter along the way!
One of my highlights has been meeting so many of you in real life at @NewsletterConf.
(Yes, I also got to meet CJ there for the first time in real life!)
Here’s to many more good years! 🍾
