@saeedwkhan @Atlassian 👋 This is a bug fix to match the way it currently works on web. It was added a long time ago and is now used everyday by many people. This isn't best practice but we need to support and guide our customers, which takes time. We're on the journey.

However, this is a feature used every day and while we would like to make the change as soon as possible, we need to help our customers change their practices as well and that takes time.

@gdnws_ That is confusing, sorry. My guess is that you have a workflow where one of the transitions is called 'cancel' which is what we call one of our buttons. A trade off we made to give people the freedom to customise Jira to work for their process rather than the other way around.
