I have dusted off my video editing skills to make a fan trailer for @DarkUniversePod, because holy SHIT, do I want to live in the timeline where I can watch their movies in theaters.
Your brain is plastic.
It can be re-wired.
Your personality isn’t fixed.
You can re-create yourself at any time.
It just takes self compassion, commitment, and a willingness to be an active participant in your healing.
@chriscereza (It also helps that there's a nice counterbalance in the form of Captain Shaw, who is just trying to run a goddamn spaceship here and wants it made clear that he is hating every second of having a Star Trek movie happen to him.)
@chriscereza Thus far it's struck me as something that's mostly been using the nostalgia in the service of interesting storytelling rather than just going "hey remember this thing," especially in contrast to the previous two seasons, but ofc that's a pretty subjective line!
@chriscereza It's like if you brought together all the Star Trek novelverse writers from the 90s and just told them to go absolutely ham (which is to say: pretty much, yeah)
