@whatcsees Wait. 'Same power of clemency WE had in the U.S.'?! Not 'they have in the U S.'!
Who is the 'we' here? Is she saying she's not Canadian? That we're all American?
It just gets worse and worse...π€¦
@jimgetz It's weird because i adore clicking 'show thread' but I don't ever want to click 'show more'.
Threads are (almost) always worth it. 'Show mores' are generally not. IME.
It's interesting that just because you try to go through life seeking kindness and compassion, people think you will make decisions based on vibes.
I pay attention to evidence. BECAUSE I care about kindness, which to me means doing the right thing, being accurate.
Besides SOMEWHAT, English has a number of less well used words of similar construction, including ELSEWHAT (something else), EVERWHAT (everything), NOWHAT (nothing), MANYWHAT (many things), OTHERWHAT (something additional), MOSTWHAT (for the most part), and NIGHWHAT (almost).
@jessefuchs I tore my apartment apart looking for that sucker. But it just sang it's never ending song whenever the temperature was right.
So - No sleeping in. No going to bed early. No writing in the late afternoon.
I lived at Starbucks for at least 2 weeks - an exhausted, twitchy shell.
@jessefuchs Guarantee mine would NOT appropriately deal with it and I'd be reliving the grad school horror of the time a cricket escaped the apartment across from mine (they had reptiles) and drove me out of my own abode because I could not find it and it would not stop singing.
