The so-called “ISPP, Islamic State Pakistan Province” is, yet another convenient label used to conceal the role of Pakistan’s security establishment. For decades, the ruthless ISI has been targeting the Baloch people, while religious minorities, including Christians and Hindus, have also faced persecution, intimidation and violence. Earlier, many were subjected to forced conversions; today, they continue to face deadly attacks.

Principal of Memar-e-Nau Academy in Gwadar, Abdul Haq Baloch, Found Dead After Enforced Disappearance

Abdul Haq Baloch, the principal of Memar-e-Nau Academy in Gwadar and the younger brother of forcibly disappeared Baloch National Movement (BNM) leader Ramzan Baloch, has been found dead after months of enforced disappearance.

Abdul Haq was abducted by the Pakistani military in Gwadar in February, after which he was subjected to enforced disappearance. Today, along with two others, his body, bearing visible signs of torture, was recovered from the Panwan area of Jewani district Gwadar.

He was killed in custody and his body was dumped.

Abdul Haq Baloch held a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Balochistan. He established Memar-e-Nau Academy in Mashkay to provide education to local children. However, the Pakistani military forcibly shut down the school.

Undeterred, he later founded another Memar-e-Nau Academy in Gwadar, where he continued educating children. In February, he was abducted by the Pakistani military and remained forcibly disappeared until his body was recovered.

His elder brother, BNM leader Ramzan Baloch, was also forcibly disappeared on July 25, 2009. He was abducted from Zero Point in Uthal while traveling from Mashkay to Gwadar and has remained missing ever since. He is held in undisclosed detention facilities operated by the Pakistani military.

The killing of Abdul Haq Baloch is part of a broader pattern in which educators, intellectuals, and members of civil society in Balochistan have been targeted. Previously, Zahid Askani, the head of a private school in Gwadar, was also killed by state agencies.

More recently, Baloch professor Ghamkhwar Hayat was likewise killed. These incidents underscore the grave risks faced by those dedicated to education and public service in Balochistan.

No segment of society in Balochistan is safe. Teachers, students, lawyers, journalists, doctors, and human rights defenders all remain vulnerable to enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detention, and other serious human rights violations.

The widespread practice of enforced disappearances, custodial torture, and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan constitutes a serious violation of international human rights law.

We call upon the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and all relevant national and international bodies to take urgent notice of the ongoing human rights crisis in Balochistan, ensure independent, impartial, and transparent investigations into the killing of Abdul Haq Baloch and other cases of enforced disappearance and extrajudicial execution, and hold those responsible accountable.

Sixteen years ago, on 1 July 2010, Shams Baloch was forcibly disappeared by the army and FC from Mian Ghundi Check Post, Quetta.

Sixteen years have passed, yet his family still waits for his return, for truth, and for justice.

This is not only the pain of one family. It is the collective wound of the Baloch nation, where thousands of families continue to live between hope and grief.

We appeal to the international community to stop looking away. The EU must visit Balochistan, meet the families of the disappeared, and urgently review Pakistan’s GSP+ status in light of these grave human rights violations.

If Pakistan has nothing to hide, it should allow UN Special Rapporteurs and Working Groups to visit Balochistan freely, meet victims without fear, and uncover the truth on the ground.

The arrest of Shaukat Nawaz Mir, leader of the Joint Awami Action Committee Kashmir, is another reminder that Pakistan only knows the language of force, arrests and terror.

But occupied lands are not conquered by fear, and oppressed nations are not subdued by prisons.

The Kashmiri nation has every right to demand freedom, dignity and justice. The Baloch, Kashmiri, Pashtun and Sindhi nations stand together against state atrocities and for our national freedoms.

Hub Chowki Stands Against the Criminalization of Political Dissent

Some places of Hub Chowki including Lasi road, Shaq Ibrahim Mobile Market, Rind Market have joined the Balochistan-wide shutter-down strike called by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee in response to the life imprisonment sentences imposed on Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Sibghatullah Shah Jee Baloch.

Peaceful political activism is increasingly being treated as a crime in Balochistan. The BYC leaders have been detained for more than a year without any evidence. All of a sudden, power-influenced judges and courts conducted day-to-day faceless trials without the consent of the detainees. It shows how the judicial system in Balochistan is used against its people and raises the question of how anyone can trust it.

There is no doubt that this verdict is part of a broader pattern in which legal and judicial mechanisms are used to target political voices who speak about the Baloch genocide and atrocities. Through this peaceful strike, the people of Balochistan reject the decisions of state-influenced judges and demand a fair and transparent trial for the BYC leaders.

She highlighted that Dr. Mahrang Baloch is a medical doctor who transformed personal loss (the enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killing of her father) into sustained, peaceful advocacy for the rights of Baloch families affected by enforced disappearances.Thunberg emphasized that Dr. Baloch and her colleagues have consistently used non-violent methods, including peaceful protests, long marches, and demands for accountability, and have never advocated or engaged in violence. بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی ایک عوامی، غیر مسلح اور پرامن پلیٹ فارم ہے جو قیام سے اب تک بلوچ عوام کے بنیادی حقوق، انصاف اور انسانی وقار کے لیے جدوجہد کرتی رہی ہے۔ ہمارے مطالبات واضح ہیں: جبری گمشدگیاں ختم ہوں، ماورائے قانون گرفتاریوں کا خاتمہ ہو، اظہارِ رائے کی آزادی یقینی ہو، بلوچستان کے وسائل پر بلوچ عوام کے حق کو تسلیم کیا جائے ،اور بلوچستان کے عوام کو ان کے آئینی اور تاریخی حقوق دیے جائیں۔

بدقسمتی سے ریاستی عناصر ان مطالبات کا جواب دینے کے بجائے جھوٹے الزامات، کردار کشی اور پروپیگنڈے کے ذریعے عوامی تحریک کو بدنام کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ الزامات نہ صرف میرے اور میرے ساتھیوں کی ساکھ کو متاثر کرنے کے لیے ہیں بلکہ بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کے پرامن جدوجہد کو بھی نشانہ بنا رہے ہیں۔گزشتہ ایک سال سے بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی مرکزی رہنماؤں ڈاکٹر صبیحہ بلوچ ، سمی بلوچ، لالا وہاب اور دیگر ورکران نے انتہائی مشکل حالات میں بھی تنظیم زمہداریوں کو پورا کیا ، بی وائی سی بلوچستان میں جاری انسانی حقوق کے پامالیوں کے زمہ دارانہ رپورٹنگ کر رہی ہے ،بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی بلوچ عوام کے نمائندہ تنظیم ہے ، عوامی تحریک کو بزور طاقت کچلنے سے بلوچستان کے عوام کو یہ پیغام دیا گیا ہے اس ریاست میں پر امن جدوجہد کیلئے کوئی جگہ نہیں ، جنگی منافع خوروں کیلئے بلوچ قوم کے زندگیوں کی کوئی قیمت نہیں ۔

یہ امر انتہائی تشویشناک ہے کہ بلوچ سیاسی کارکنوں اور انسانی حقوق کے لیے آواز بلند کرنے والوں کو مسلسل ہراساں کیا جا رہا ہے، جبکہ ان کے خلاف لگائے گئے الزامات کے لیے کوئی قابلِ اعتماد شواہد موجود نہیں ہیں۔بلوچستان میں مسلح تنظیموں کے کاروائی کے بعد ریاستی ادارے اپنے نہ اہلی کو چھپانے کے ناکام کوشش میں بی وائی سی کے خلاف ایک نیا جھوٹا پروپیگنڈہ تیار کرتے ہے، اور پھر بلوچ عوام کے وسائل کا استعمال کر کے اس پروپیگنڈے کو پرنٹ اور سوشل میڈیا میں شائع کیا جاتی ہے ، ہم سوال کرتے ہے کہ کیا اس پروپیگنڈے سے آپ بلوچ قوم کے دلوں میں محفوظ ریاستی جبر کے داستانوں کو مٹا سکتے ہے ؟ کیا آپ جبراً پریس کانفرنس کروا کر بلوچ ماں کے دل سے اس کے بیٹے کے وجود کو ختم کر سکتے ہے ؟ بلوچستان میں ریاستی جبر بلوچ قومی شناخت کے جدوجہد میں کے سب سے بڑا catalyst ثابت ہوا ہے یہ تحریک جسے آپ بزور طاقت اور اپنے hard State کے زریعے کچھلنا چاہتے ہے، یہ بلوچ قوم کے خلوص ، قربانی اور اپنے وطن سے بے پناہ محبت کے احساس اور ہمارے شہیدوں کے قربانی کی وجہ سے یہاں تک پہنچا ہے ، ہم اپنے شہیدوں کے قربانی اور اپنے باوقار قوم کے طویل مسافت کو کبھی ضائع نہیں ہونے دینگے ، یہ اس سفر کے شروعات ہے جس کا خواب ہمارے شہیدوں نے دیکھا تھا ، کہ کبھی بلوچ علاقے ، قبیلے، زبان کے تفریق سے بالاتر ہوکر اپنے وسیع تر قومی مفادات کیلئے متحد ہونگے اور جو عوامی سیلاب آپ نی راجی مچی اور بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کے جلسوں میں دیکھا تھا ، وہی بلوچ قوم کے اجتماعی قومی شعور ہے ،بلوچ عوام آج بھی بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کے سیاسی موقف کے بھر پور ہمایت کرتی ہے ، جس کی وجہ سے ریاست کی جانب سے ہر وقت ایک نیا پروپیگنڈہ اور نیا بیانیہ بنانے کے کوشش کی جاتی ہے ، مگر ان تمام حربوں کے باوجود بلوچ عوام کے پرامن جدوجہد کو دبایا نہیں جا سکتا اور نہ ہی بلوچ دانشور اور سیاسی کارکن اپنی بنیادی حقوق کے جدوجہد سے پیچھے ہٹیں گے۔

میں انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں، صحافیوں اور انصاف پسند حلقوں سے اپیل کرتی ہوں کہ وہ اس منظم بیانیے کے پیچھے موجود حقائق کو بغور دیکھیں اور بلوچستان کی زمینی صورتحال کا آزادانہ جائزہ لیں۔ بلوچ سیاسی کارکنوں، انسانی حقوق کے کارکنوں اور BYC کی پرامن جدوجہد کو جھوٹے الزامات اور پروپیگنڈے سے بدنام کرنے کی کسی بھی کوشش کو ہم قبول نہیں کریں گے۔

تاریخ گواہ ہے کہ جب بھی قلم، علم اور پرامن سیاسی جدوجہد کو دبانے کی کوشش کی گئی، حقیقت اور مزاحمت مزید مضبوط ہوئی۔ میں ایک بار پھر واضح کرتی ہوں کہ یہ الزامات ہمیں نہیں روک سکتے کیونکہ ہماری قومی مزاحمت ہی ہماری زندگی کا مقصد بن چکا ہے اور بلوچ عوام کے حقوق اور انسانی وقار کے لیے ہماری جدوجہد جاری رہے گی۔
