A financial reset is coming.
Countries will ditch the US$, US will ditch the world trade, China will dump its goods on others.
What's coming is dangerous.
And, here is what you do:-
1) Buy some gold (physical) at every support. This is your safety engine.
2) Do NOT trust the government 1 bit. They can put retrospective taxation on digital version of gold/silver.
3) All people that you see buying "digital" gold via Mutual Funds are big time fools. And, will get screwed at some point.
4) Put a decent chunk of your money on "growth" assets. Things that improve productivity. Eg. Tech. Within tech AI. This is your growth engine.
5) Do NOT make large commitments. Eg. if you can afford a house worth 10Cr. Buy worth 2Cr
6) Having investment options across multiple countries. Example: buy your US stocks directly; get access to South East Asia market etc. Yes, you need to be a HNI or whatever.
7) But, if you are working with small capital: pick gold, growth equities (primarily the US).
8) Do not trust derivative products like REITs. Another scam is brewing here (big time), especially in markets like India
9) Builders + Politician lobby is deeply corrupt= REITs will give them more leverage. Be safe!
10) Keep 60-70% of your capital in liquid assets. Opportunities = crashes= great wealth!
Build a portfolio that survives.
I'm doing exactly that. And, helping my community do the same.
I guess by the end of this year AI will challenge a large number of exam prep coaching institutions. By providing high quality education and tools with a fraction of money that they charge middle class family kids.
According to Banner Chart, 2026 is a good time to sell stocks. This is when asset prices are likely to peak.
For folks, who don't know what Banner Chart is: this is a 100 year old prediction about stock markets. It predicts the "crisis" years like 1981, 1999, 2019 etc.
Like all predictions, there are flaws in this prediction. But, the hit rate on this chart has been quite phenomenal.
Okay, back to 2026. Why selling equities makes sense in 2026? And, what does this exactly mean?
1) To an amateur, selling equities means: that 100 units of money in equity. Sell 100 units. Get out. Wait for crash.
This is quite dumb. Because market can first rally by another 50%. And, then fall by 30%.
2) A more practical version of selling equity means: ability to buy when drawdown happens.
For this you can have sensible cash positions, hedges like put options etc. And, learn portfolio construction.
3) Now, part 2 of the question: why asset prices are close to peaking in 2026?
This is quite simple: asset prices are a function of low interest rates (IR). Why? because when people can borrow cheap. They will buy and invest more.
Most of the world is now leveraged. And, leverage is driven by Interest Rates. As a lot of refinancing of debt happens when IR goes low.
Now, this is economics. How do we relate this to the stock market?
4) Stock Markets are forward looking. Stock Prices (i.e equity prices) are driven by "expectation" of low interest rates.
5) 2025 we got clarity on IR. Most major economies (except Japan) started cutting Interest Rates.
There has been public pressure by Trump on US's FED chair Jerome Powell to cut IR. Powell is likely to be replaced by a someone who is willing to cut IR in 2026.
6) So the expectation of low IR is likely to be fully baked into the markets in 2026.
7) The negative force against low IR is high inflation. But, inflation is NOT high (at least on paper). Hence, the above macro theory adds up. In simple words: the government can afford to cut IR to accelerate growth.
Market understands this. And, will be repricing assets as we get more certainty on the above thesis.
How do you make money in all this? If you know portfolio construction. And, can add/reduce risk on your portfolio through hedging, cash position management, bulk buying selected stocks, selling overvalued segments.
But, unfortunately: most people cannot take the pain to learn all this. So they will just go and buy 5 Funds. And, think diversification is achieved. They are simply participating in fueling the Index Bubble.
Last 1.5 years have generated poor returns for such investors. And, this trend is likely to continue for them.
Guess what? when a strategy becomes too common (eg. SIPing for financing freedom), no one can really get rich from it. This is a time tested fact.
A wheel(work) in motion stays in motion. apply gentle push on it for consistency and when you want to get the things done fast. Hit the wheel with a stick(hardwork) grease the bearing(spirituality and calm mind) and put a motor(dedication) in it. it will move fast towards goal.
Salary of residents deducted for period of protest! We stood for augmenting healthcare workforce pan nation. Despite multiple assurances from various authorities regarding no economic/academic harm, GTB Hospital has cut salary. VMMC/other institutes haven't. @FordaIndia
