The last paper of my PhD got finally published in #FrontiersInSystemsNeuroscience. This work shows that optogenetics can be used to excite two separated neuronal ensembles along the ICC tonotpy (1)

This is important as neuronal prosthesis in the central auditory system need to excite multiple tonotopic layers to receive frequency resolution.

I am devastated to hear about the loss of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Roth, a brilliant neuroscientist, and a godfather of German neuroscience communication. He was my first mentor in academia and he significantly contributed to my choice of obtaining a science career!
