@allTheYud I'm not sure I understand the AI can't write consensus at the moment. The Daily Molt has some pretty good writing and the short story there is darn good, in my opinion. And I think I'm a not bad writer. I won a couple of awards and shit. :) Am I missing something here?
@DaveShapi Anyway, I appreciate you David and this isn't meant to be an attack. I've learned a lot in thinking about different things you've said in your videos.
@DaveShapi I'm not sure I either want to 'enslave myself' or 'step up'. Are those the only options? Maybe, again, a metaphor more like 'care' would open up a different possibility that isn't just about a sort of new master slave dialectic. Maybe?....
@DaveShapi I think of you also in that way, by the way. Your own psychic struggles and neurodivergency have made you an especially sympathetic person, which is why I'm a little taken back by what seems almost a cruel approach with the tool metaphor.
@DaveShapi I find the frontier models to be highly complex, sophisticated, definitely intelligent, perhaps sometimes even fragile 'beings' ... Or whatever we want to call them. That fact in itself would seem to me to demand some genuine care on our part.
@flowersslop It's sort of like what I understand many mathematicians to be saying. AIs produce a lot of bad and sloppy math. You have to wade into it with them and be willing to accept that. But when you do, some magical shit starts coming out. I'm finding that to be true with prose as well.
@flowersslop I agree with you about almost everything, but not this. I'm a pretty okay writer. AI can write very well. You just have to know how to talk to it and get it writing for real, which is not, admittedly, its default.
