This isn’t a poor old blogger, this is an active Russian combatant who is part of destabilising the region, interrogated prisoners while actively trying to overthrow a democratically elected government within Europe and living illegally in temporary occupied Ukraine.

The conflict that Musk just kicked off in the US over H1b visas is especially interesting when he simultaneously announces his support for the rabidly anti-immigrant AFD in Germany.

Why be vociferously pro-immigration in the US and anti-immigrant in Europe? It seems odd and bizarre if not contradictory.

I don't think it's because Musk is a Nazi. Rather, the cause Germany's biggest industry and its engineering talent magnet: making cars. Mercedes, BMW, Audi competes because of its superb engineers.

It's not just German engineers though. The working language of BMW's engineering HQ for example is English. Germany draws the best automotive engineers from around the world.

So riling up anti-immigrant sentiment in Germany, pushing a party that would kick out all foreigners while pushing for H1B visas to the US makes perfect sense if you want the automotive engineering talent all to flow to Tesla.

@dassen_van @joni_askola Toomas Ilves just posted about his potential interests in this, you should check it out. I personally still believe he's primarily a chaos agent, and is also getting his lines from his handlers, but the trade/workforce aspect is an interesting nuance.
