apathy, be compassionate
Great Coaches:
Know their players
Respect their players
Teach & challenge their players
Listen to their players
Inspire their players
Support their players
Fight for their players
Give roles to their players
Hold their players accountable
Serve their players
Love their players
Leadership is not just about what you do, but what you can inspire, encourage, and empower others to do. Leaders bring out the best in other people by sharing the best from within themselves.
Want to stand out as a team player? Then:
Put your team first
Don’t complain about playing time
Have great practice habits
Respect others
Accept your role
Always give 100%
Keep mental errors to a minimum
Play hard
Have good body language
Lose your ego
Encourage teammates
Compete
Players: Know the skills you need to improve. If you aren’t working daily, you’re getting farther behind. Others are getting better. You can’t know the limits of your potential until you try so hard that you fail. If you’re being outworked, you can’t complain about the outcome!
Culture is the heart of your program. The environment in which your players learn & interact is key for the success of your team. What you as the coach allow, emphasize, reinforce, teach & accept on a daily basis determines how well your players grow, improve & work together.
On to the finals! We won 3-2 in OT against a very good Chancellor squad. Olivia Woodson had 2 goals in regulation. Sydney Clayton with the game winner in the second 5 minute period.

Perspective is everything. You can look at the pandemic as something that stole your future or prepared you to create a great future. How you see it will determine what you do and create going forward.
