Excited to be on my way to Birmingham to present a lightning talk ⚡at #acgs2022@acgs_news about my role in Quality Improvement and some of the projects I've delivered 👩🏻🔬
Just finishing the 'Looking to the future' module of Rosalind Franklin @NHSLeadership and reading the Topol Review. Good to see such a focus on #genomics and #genomicseducation, especially as it is #GenomicsConversation

QI in action today at @SWGLH 💫
We've switched over to a new process for distributing our reports, this will reduce batching, give our admin team more autonomy, reduce internal email traffic and ultimately allow results to get to clinicians sooner 🙌🏻
#QI
I've started the #RosalindFranklin programme with @NHSLeadership. Looking forward to learning about leadership and applying this to my #QI work @SWGLH
Tonight's homework ✍️drawing a lifeline to reflect on the development into the leader I am today
Yesterday we had QI #lunchtimeseminar sharing 6 QI projects across @SWGLH with Bristol and @ExeterExomes
Great to see a variety of QI projects recently implemented with lots of learning points and ideas for us try in our teams.
This week we've introduced some changes to our BCR-ABL workflow internally which will:
🧬Make things easier for our extraction lab
🧬Use our LIMs more efficiently
🧬Streamline our workflow
Pleased to see this cross-team #QI project in action 😀
@lhjive 3. We've reviewed our workflow in the LIMs and made some changes so the pathways are neater. We have straightened out some historic quirks in the electronic pathway so now it's better and easier for everyone to use.
@lhjive Sure.
1. We needed to clarify the roles and responsibilities of our technical and scientific teams, we've improved our decision making pathway so our extraction lab staff can proceed with lysate/RNA prep straight away, minimising any delays here.
On Monday @SWGLH has some #QI projects going live which have been several months in the making! Using #lean principles to reduce wastes. Excited to see the impact of change over the next few weeks and months 😀
Great session this morning with @Becsjlittle @IamKateP @WEAHSN on skills to lead change! Really interactive with things to reflect on and put into practice.
📢More recruitment in Bristol!
We are recruiting a new Quality Manager! The role is band 7, permanent and full time.
