@MichaelRosenYes P.S…….definitely not a hornpipe. Hornpipes are in simple time (beats subdivide into 2), and have an even number of beats in each bar (usually 4).
@MichaelRosenYes The 6/8 metre (compound, where each beat subdivides into groups of 3 rather than 2), is jig-like. The modal tonality (not straightforward major/minor) is reminiscent of folk music (trad. jigs, reels, etc.). Basically, it’s just Zimmer magnificence…he’s musically referencing.
@SCatlingAuthor@MichaelRosenYes I believe it’s notated in 6/8, but very much has a 3/4 feel to it. If you listen to the intro, the 6/8 is clearer with a driving crotchet-quaver rhythm. The 3/4 effect is as a result of the syncopation across the two beats (compound time). That’s what makes it so exciting!
@jk_rowling My 7 yr old daughter, Maya, lost her love of reading during lockdown. We are currently reading The Christmas Pig together and it is amazing to see her fully engaging and enjoying a chapter book again! She would love to know: how long did the book take you to write?
@elmermaidstone @heartofkenthosp My daughter and I have absolutely LOVED it! Please do something similar again! We completed our search for all the Elmers yesterday and had to mark the occasion with a special celebration. We were happy to have found them all, but so sad it’s over!

@ShelaghFogarty I am absolutely in support of the vaccine. However, I read an article this morning from Business Insider casting doubt upon the safety of administering it to Long Covid sufferers. This has knocked my confidence a little, but I’m open minded until I have read more.
A had a grumble about it on another social media platform, on my personal timeline. Three friends immediately replied that this has happened several times to them too. Disgraceful. @AsdaServiceTeam you have lost yourselves a customer.
@CBeebiesHQ Wait until the child is ready. I ignored the judgements of people telling me my daughter should “surely be out of nappies by now”, and then it happened pretty much overnight, with no accidents or mess to clear up. She was nearly 4, but I don’t care! It was an easy transition.
