"It would boost private investment by $25 billion a year over the next three years, helping drive productivity that adds 1-2 per cent to GDP. It would increase real after-tax wages by 1 per cent in 2022-23 and 2 per cent in 2035-36."

Wind generating a huge 777MW of total ~1850 MW
41% of WA electricity generation from wind right now
With all these new renewables,
we don't need any new coal or gas
This bears repeating in the Australian context:
"hydrogen is the worst energy carrier for building heating with a view to efficiency and infrastructure requirements"
The beginning of the end of petrol cars. Better sell your oil stocks. Volkswagen factory produces last ever combustion engine car, shifts to EVs only https://t.co/Wn5NVSTg9S
Remember when we had 45 #EV battery megafactories needing 840k tonnes of lithium by 2028?
Now we have 142 Gigafactories @ 2.4TWh by 2028 needing 2m t lithium, 400k t cobalt, 1.5m t nickel, 2.9m t graphite anode, 351k t manganese

A few people have suggested I should respond directly to Professor Foster's arguments on #qanda last night rather than just saying I was appalled.
I thought the other panelists did an excellent job of explaining why her arguments were unsound. There's no need to say more.
But.
I....AM...STAGGERED! And impressed. On the verge of a global recession and @ACCIONA_AU just throws down $2 billion on Australia's biggest wind farm. Almost twice as big as the previous biggest. In QLD which makes it doubly sweet. Some badly needed good news. Well done CleanCo.
Today is #InternationalWomensDay and we recognise that women are still far from equal to men in today’s societies.
We can not have climate justice without gender equity.
And remember; what we women want today - and every day- is equality, not congratulations or celebrations.
here's the thing…
gillard's 'carbon tax' was actually an emissions trading scheme that by now would be linked to the european ETS.
european units are currently €23.74, or $38.32.
our farmers can save CO₂ for much less.
if not for abbott, farmers would be earning $billions.
As #Australia reels from unprecedented bushfires, the disconnect between its vulnerability to #climate change and the inadequacy of its government's response is coming under international scrutiny.
We have produced a mountain of research on this -

Scariest graph you will see this year. Sums up why I am spending all of my time working on various aspects of the climate crisis. I meet more and more people who are leaving their jobs to focus on this. We are running out of time. #ClimateEmergency
