While Meleteon was built for our own teaching community to teach live humanities courses, the tools behind it (course pages, file hosting, gradebook, assignments, discussions, Zoom scheduling, calendar sync) are the same tools any course needs to function. With Canvas down and finals around the corner, we are trying to figure out if our infrastructure can support affected faculty who need somewhere to work out of until the issue is resolved.
If you are a professor whose course was disrupted, send an email from your university address to [email protected] with your name, institution, and course details, and a subject heading that reads "Meleteon Tools Use."
Please confirm with your institution that using an external tool for course continuity is permitted under your policies. If there is enough interest and our systems can handle it, we will do our best to accommodate you through the end of the semester. No payment or contract required. Hopefully this is of some help!

What if anyone, anywhere could take a live seminar in philosophy, Arabic, or ancient history, taught by a PhD scholar who spent years of study mastering the topic?
That's Meleteon. We launch tomorrow.
We built this because the humanities are being squeezed out of universities: degrees down 24%, language programs cut, doctoral admissions paused.
But the scholars are still here, and so are the students. Funding choices should not be the end of your humanities journey.
