@AshleyGWinter I had a summer job in undergrad where I actually collected urine from racehorses for drug testing. Their streams might be strong, but they are definitely not in a hurry to pee after a race ๐คฃ
Finished my month of OB! Delivered some babies, cried a little (happy and sad), and learned a boat load of OB. Found out I enjoyed some things more than I thought I would!! Only 3 more months of intern year!

OMG, why hasn't anyone said how EXCITING it is on Match Day when you're a resident!?!
IM SO EXCITED TO MEET OUR NEXT "NEW" INTERNS!! ๐๐โค๐๐พ๐โค
Tomorrow we will officially welcome the next generation of family physicians to the family of family medicine and I couldn't be more excited. Better health and a more accessible, equitable and affordable health care system starts with family medicine. #Match2022
Genuine question, can someone tell me how Q3 or even Q2 24 hour call helps train resident physicians?
My program doesn't have any 24 hour call until we are seniors and it's only ever Q6-Q7, so I can't speak from my own experience.
@JustAUnderstudy It's a good question, and I don't think I could actually answer it. It really doesn't seem to make much sense, especially because we make minimum wage as residents.
I came here to say I got my tax return and then immediately used it to purchase my last board exam only to be told by a co-resident that its $4000 to get my license after I am done with my last board exam so I can moonlight to make some extra cash. LOL OK GREAT!
I got my Moderna booster today! My feet hurt(?) and I have insane skin sensitivity, but I'm very thankful for my antibodies and my relaxed schedule tomorrow!
Woah! It's been a ~hot~ second since I was last on here. Let me re-introduce myself, show what I have been up to, and maybe meet some new people! #medtwitter
I have also been SO thankful to be able to spend time and go on a mini vacay with my gensurg PGY1 fiance! We decided not to couples match, so we had been preparing for long distance for a long time, but getting to see him is definitely the highlight of intern year so far!
