@biologistimo I required a D&C 2 weeks after giving birth to remove some remaining placenta. Without the procedure this situation can become life threatening. It was discovered because I showed signs of infection. This procedure also saves the lives of new moms with newborns at home.

@PierrePoilievre We cancelled our vacation this weekend because of the record breaking temperatures and unsafe air quality which was a consequence of climate change. I will happily pay more tax to be able to comfortably leave the house.

@clhubes They make it sound easy but meal planning is hard enough without considering how you’ll modify your meal, remembering to leave their portion out of the sauce, plus how to manage items you usually buy a two pack of. Easier just to defrost them a pancake

@veryloudwoman We are lucky that we have jobs where will be able to change/flex our hours and two caregivers to share the task but not everyone does

@veryloudwoman Then definitely reasonable. What time do they expect parents need to be at work? Ours only does 730-5 and there is no way I can reliably be on time to my 8-415 job/back to pick child up with those hours. Unless I’m tossing him out the window at the daycare staff as I drive by

@ColinDMello This is exactly what health care workers have been dealing with for years when they tried to call out issues in the system or ask for additional help or resources. They are told they just aren’t resilient enough. So weird how it’s never the fault of the people in charge.

@DrStephanieCoo1 Is this not a choking hazard for a drowsy person? Threaten them with legal implications of that horrific outcome. In writing. Remind them that when admin thinks they are clinicians they suggest things that are very obviously dangerous and, frankly, stupid.
