Στο πλαίσιο της επίσκεψής μου στο Λονδίνο, συμμετείχα σήμερα, κατόπιν πρόσκλησης της Ύπατης Αρμοστείας της Κύπρου στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο @CyprusInUK, στο ετήσιο Cyprus Forum London 2026, το οποίο είχε ως θέμα «Building Partnerships to Counter Hybrid Threats».

Το #CyprusForumLondon 2026 αποτέλεσε μια ευκαιρία να συζητηθούν θέματα που άπτονται των υβριδικών απειλών, καθώς και της ανάγκης ενίσχυσης του συντονισμού μεταξύ κρατών, θεσμών και διεθνών οργανισμών.

Παρά τη σαφή πρόοδο που έχει σημειωθεί, το εξελισσόμενο περιβάλλον απειλών παραμένει ιδιαίτερα δυναμικό και πολύπλοκο και, μεταξύ άλλων, απαιτεί:

🔹ενίσχυση συνεργασίας ανάμεσα στα κράτη
🔹ενίσχυση των μηχανισμών έγκαιρης προειδοποίησης
🔹διατήρηση αξιόπιστης αποτρεπ����κής ικανότητας
🔹αναβάθμιση του επιπέδου προστασίας των κρίσιμων υποδομών
🔹ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής ανθεκτικότητας

Της συμμετοχής μου στο Forum προηγήθηκε συνάντηση με τον Ύπατο Αρμοστή της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο Δρ. Κυριάκο Κούρο, τον οποίον ευχαριστώ για τη φιλοξενία και τη συζήτηση που είχαμε.
