I open up my Twitter Machine each morning and I see a ton of Catholic vs Catholic fighting - trying to battle for the crown “most reverent.”

This shouldn’t be a competition. We should be a family helping each other to get to Heaven. That’s the goal.

So how can we pray for each other?

I appreciate the thoughtful response, and I agree that archaeology is an important part of understanding the ancient world. It’s good to ask honest questions about the evidence.
At the same time, I think there are a few assumptions worth examining. The idea that we should expect to find extensive remains from a large migrating population in the Sinai assumes conditions that may not apply to ancient nomadic groups. The Sinai is a harsh environment where organic materials decay quickly, later populations disturb sites, and identifying temporary camps thousands of years later can be extremely difficult.
There is also debate among archaeologists about the size, timeline, and nature of the Exodus. Some scholars understand the biblical numbers differently than a straightforward modern population count, while others debate the chronology itself. So the conversation is not simply "archaeology has disproven the Exodus."
For me, the important point is that faith does not require ignoring evidence, and archaeology does not always provide a complete picture of the past. We should be humble about what we know and what we don't know.
I appreciate that you're approaching the question seriously. Honest searching is a good thing, and Christians shouldn't be afraid of sincere questions. Peace be with you.
