私の親友の1人は23区戸建てで生まれ育った1人娘。両親から蝶よ花よと育てられ、いつでも娘の意思を尊重し、食べ物は「先に欲しいものをお取り」「パパのもあげようか？」と言われ、やりたいこと、進みたい進路（難関国立大）に進んで海外出張もバリバリこなすバリキャリエリートウーマンに育った。

とある男性と知り合い彼の九州の田舎の家に呼ばれて行ったら親族皆集まってて、あろうことか遠路からの客である友人に家事を手伝わせ、夕飯は親族の男性だけがテーブルにつき、友人含め女性は隣の和室の畳のちゃぶ台に席が用意され、男性が箸をつけるまで女性は一切箸をつけられず、酒ばかり飲んで食べ始めない男性を横目に女性はひたすら正座して待たされた。もちろん片付けも手伝わされた。婚約も何もしていないのにこれでカルチャーショックに仰天し、いい人だったけど将来が全く希望が見出せずすぐ別れた。

その後、六大学卒の昔の知り合いの男性と結婚した。旦那さんは私も知るマメな人で、彼女の転勤先についていき、派遣社員で仕事をし、彼女が転勤を終えて実家に戻ってからは彼女の両親とも同居して2人で子育てと介護もして、今は幸せに暮らしている。

やはりね、大切に育てられた人は大切にしてくれる彼氏がいいですよ。
