DoubleZero would not be possible without its incredible network contributors! Like all blockchain systems, competition produces win-win outcomes for all, and especially the users of DoubleZero.
Need SOL for testing?
PineStake provides Solana Testnet and Devnet faucets so you can build, test and ship faster.
No friction. Just build. 🌲

DoubleZero just crossed a quiet threshold.
Over 58% of Solana validators are now publishing into Edge, which means the majority of the network's stake is routing through dedicated fiber instead of fighting for bandwidth on the public internet alongside video streams and ad traffic.
Coinbase connected its validator on June 24, and that single integration says more about institutional confidence in the infrastructure than any amount of marketing copy could.
The numbers behind this are public and verifiable on chain, which is rare for an infrastructure claim in this industry.
Round trip improvements range from 4 to 55 milliseconds depending on the route, and Ben Marx at Malbec Labs compared a 55ms save to shaving a low earth orbit ping off a connection. On the LA to Singapore route alone, that gap between public internet and Edge routing is the difference between a validator competing on equal footing and one quietly losing ground every block.
What makes this worth paying attention to as a builder is that DoubleZero treats the public internet's design tradeoffs as the actual problem, not just latency as a symptom. Carrier economics route traffic for reach and cost, not for time sensitive consensus.
A fiber backbone purpose built for validators and distributed systems is a different category of solution than another Layer 2 trying to optimize around the same congestion everyone else is stuck in.
I built a live dashboard tracking $2Z onchain activity through GoldRush to see this in practice rather than just read about it.
Validator share, price movement, and wallet level holdings all pulling from the same data layer that powers the rest of my DevRel work. Infrastructure this verifiable deserves tools that are just as transparent about where the numbers come from.
@Austin_Federa@TheStalwart Back in my day you used to have to earn colorful boots and usually got a good kicking from the other team for it either way…
