@BlondeHistorian My daughter Krystie died age 29 {Friedreichs Ataxia which destroys neurological connections}. She NEVER saw herself as disabled. Her final University dissertation “Disability in the Moving image”explored films where disability translates as superpowers. Society has not caught up

Krystie should have been 33 today but 4 years ago this date also became the day she transferred from New Cross hospital to Compton Care; she lived until the 11th April - ‘missing’ goes beyond words. Love you always Krystie Rosa Elizabeth 💜 #FriedreichsAtaxia
@flowergirl_lon These illustrate theoretical design - but for many wheelchair users this space is not fit for purpose in many aspects… practical design needs to be part of training. Architects should consider using a panel of people who live with a variety of impairments to review designs…
@shelleyking55 @Peston@GaryLineker is right! Shameful BBC but What’s new? The past 2+ years a whole country expected to tow the line or be branded idiots/murderers/lowest of the low. People threatened with job loss (many lost) unless they complied. Not a big jump is it then this? Make sure NEVER AGAIN
@MrsRieB@StPancrasInt I am sorry you experienced this. He should have listened to you as you ARE the expert in your mobility… my daughter was dropped to the platform in her electric chair when leaving a train once. The train staff said - we are not used to your chair ?! Better training is needed!!!
@RobbieRinder Stupid; indicative of underlying …. lets just say ‘bias’ - and wrong! The underlying drivers for gang related knife and gun crime are complex. This did need calling out - Grace and Marverine both challenged this input - but Judge R grabbed hold assertively - Pierce needs to go!
