@ac_landmarks They need to update the investigations imo
Eavesdropping, pickpocketing, etc. should still be the core, but with a bit more substance/variety
I actually wouldn't mind if they added some characters to get a more personal connection to each city (with good writing/cutscenes)
@eurogamer Now include countries outside US
Give the full sales numbers (don't use a cutoff of +100K)
Include percentage of total games sold (how many cracked a million this year?)
Adjust for price (how many of these are full priced physical, compared to free or $ 5 digital games)
@JFpaes15@KindredBlade Absolutely not. I'd rather devs have a vision for the future and fail, than to play it safe, boring, and invalidating player choice in the sequel (e.g. by chosing a 'canon' ending, awkwardly combining them, or just hiding outcomes from previous choices)
@jonsthreecents@thiccdotexe 99% of scavenging is just opening up loot menu's, which literally all engines can do and is very common in RPG's
Only gimmick that the Creation Engine can do is to build a cheese tower or something, which looks fun as a YouTube thumbnail, but doesn't add to the core experience
@JuiceHead33 I mean... Todd is known for misleading corporate talk lmao
"WITH" may as well mean that there are a handful of Bethesda employees doing some minor consulting work on Obisian's project
@SleepisforT I'd argue that the 5 year dev cycle is still long considering their output. Their last few games have been technologically and creatively very unimpressive
@PokemanZ0N6 No. it's definitely due to the people making it + the collaboration with the author
If the adaptation was made by the same showrunners as Netflix Avatar and Cowboy Bebop, then OPLA would've also been atrocious, I guarantee it
@largesizedcup@pcgamer I mean, adults can be incredibly petty and childish, this wouldn't at all be out of place in many corporate cultures
Also, whether or not this grudge actually exists, Todd would deny it publicly anyway, so this would hardly count as a debunking
@Meelsie143 The 'imminent death' aspect itself was honestly my least favourite part of the game's narrative
There are more ways to motivate a player to do a main quest than threatening the protagonist with personal annihilation (e.g. Cyberpunk or BG3) or the end of the universe or something
@Helexzura I always thought Vampyr had the potential to become a successful franchise if they would've commited to a sequel that elevates what's already there
