Yesterday, they have taken 21 resident physicians from their apartments in University of Gondar. These are people I know, my own friends, my colleagues. They were taken in the middle of the night from their homes.

A people’s revolution can never be stopped. 🛑🛑🛑
You’ve done everything under the illusion of #Fakeprosperity stripping people of their dignity, silencing their cry , and calling yourself a government of “prosperity” while delivering only oppression and inhumane treatment.
📌But mark this: the reckoning you feared is no longer a distant threat. You’ve awakened the very revolution of the people who were only trying to live with dignity while you filled your pockets and attempted to convince the people with a mirage of Led lights and fake fountains! Now, they rise—not because they wanted to, but because you left them no other choice. We know you will try to use Ethic politics to nullify their needs but you will fail again! They know you @AbiyAhmedAli #Ethiopia
Six years ago, Ethiopian health professionals staged a protest to have their grievances heard.
At the time, they explained that the shortages of medical supplies, which had led them to raise complaints, were severely hampering their ability to perform their duties.
Six years later, the situation has worsened from bad to worse — shifting from concerns about a lack of medical supplies to now saying: “We’re starving, we’re thirsty, and we can’t even afford to educate our children.”
This shows just how deeply livelihoods have deteriorated — not only for health professionals but for many other segments of society.
Those who once lived a so-called “better life” are now falling into poverty, while those already in poverty are struggling to survive even a single day.
Repeated claims that a "human-centered" approach is being followed do not bring prosperity or wealth to the public. A truly impactful national policy should deliver meaningful change, not perpetuate suffering. Even now, failing to prioritize what matters most is a mark of poor judgment.

Dr. Tilahun Sisay, a surgical specialist at Gonder Ayra Hospital, has been detained by government forces. Silencing, imprisoning, and harassing medical professionals for raising concerns doesn't just hurt them it endangers us all.
