According to Calvinism, God decrees everything that comes to pass (even evil) but somehow He is not the author of it. It also teaches that God has chosen to withhold giving most of mankind the ability to repent of their sin, while still holding them responsible for those sins. These things are glaring contradictions, both logically and biblically. It is not a mystery nor is it even a paradox.

A paradox seems false but can be proven true through deeper investigation. A contradiction is false because it violates the laws of logic. Calvinism is true like a square circle is true. In other words, it is false because it defies the laws of logic, which God Himself established.

The Apostle John starts out his gospel by saying “In the beginning was the Word”

The original Greek text uses the word logos, which traditionally translates to "word" in this verse, but it fundamentally means reason, rationality or logic.

You can rightfully translate the passage "In the beginning was the Logic, and the Logic was with God, and the Logic was God."

God/Jesus IS logic. Men do not have a separate logic. They have misunderstandings and perverted reasoning. But mankind doesn’t get their own logic.

There IS truth. I don’t get my own truth. Just like you don’t get your own truth. There is only ONE truth. The truth. And that truth is Jesus.

Is there mystery in God? Absolutely. But that mystery doesn’t contradict the nature that He has established Himself to have in scripture. That would be…. Illogical.

I will add that this is a perfect example of Calvinist systematic philosophy. They are trying to create a logical philosophical system to explain our God levels is incomprehensible to our human brain. But the good news is God gave us his word in the Bible. Calvinist can only support their philosophical framework through extra biblical means. And this is why they take unclear passages and use them to interpret the abundantly clear passages in the Bible. The Bible is replete with example after example disproving Calvinist, systematic philosophy.
